You can't give lessons about not getting defensive dude. x) Just saying.

In this case, it's as if a thief is telling people that stealing is bad. See what I mean :)

Ahhh...  So if I were to assume you were calling me "defensive" and I agreed with you, would that mean I''m NOT being defensive?   But what happens if I were to say I'm not being defensive?  Then would I be defensive?   Hmmmm...

Wasn't there a piece on how MS had had 14 million Kinect camera units produced (or the parts required for them anyway)? I think they're setting their mind on ample supply through the holidays, Kinect launched very near christmas compared to Move and if you want to sell a lot of units, it is essential to have a big supply. Its better to have spare units stacked on a shelf than to lose a potential sale and have the customer get something else because the item isn't in stock. The Move supplies could be attributed to the fact that Sony may have slightly underestimated demand, there's a thread on it in the hot topics section.

Is Sony undershipping Move keeping it in low supply, or is MS overshipping Kinect to make sure it stays in supply? I just through Kinect would be sold out considering it was less than 10 days from launch when I went looking for them

Companies does not overship. They dont ship more then what is order, never.

I spik engrish?

I understand that in order for a company like MS or Sony to ship, the retailer has to actually order them. But when Walmart orders 50 Kinect sensors and Sony ships them knowing Walmart will probably only need 20 for that day, they are overhshipping consumer demand regardless.

Undershipping on the other hand is possibly at the fault of the company. If walmart orders 50 more Move controllers and Sony can't keep up with demand, they are undershipping.

Regardless of the numbers, I don't think SONY under ships on purpose.  Yes, they are under shipping, but I think it's because they underestimated demand.  Because SONY is finally getting into better financial status and the PS3 sells the least in the Americas, I think they have to be a little more cautious when distributing Moves in the Americas.

I'm still trying to get my hands on 2 more Move controllers, and have been 5 places so far only to find them sold out. Only 1 of those places (a gamestop) had Kinect sold out. Its just rousing my curiosity a bit as to how much MS has shipped vs sold and Sony shipped vs sold numbers. Something tells me the margin between Sony's shipped/sold numbers is MUCH smaller.

SONY did make it official that they have to ramp up production so that helps validate your claim and bodes well for SONY.  I have more to say, but I'm getting ready for work.  Talk to you later.

Well if that's the case why doesn't Sony have the balls to release their sold through to consumer numbers?  Why don't you go over to their blog and call them on it?  Tell them to tell us how many Move controllers sold through to consumers in the first 10 days.
