So after Iwata statement in Q&A with investors and now Reggie's it's practically confirmed that Super Wii won't launch until 2012? Bummer =(

On the bright side we may see NSMBWii 2 or Wii Relax.

So despite the supposed dying sales, that are still ahead of the PS2, the Wii is still going along. The 3DS needs to be established first anyway, so that Nintendo doesn't stretch themselves. Plus if anything about the 3DS doesn't work out, Nintendo will be going to correct it with the next home system, while being about to try to incorporate anything that does work (and can be adapted from a handheld to home system).

 Sounds good to me... 2011 is 3DS´s year, so mid-late 2012 should be wii2´s year... Just about right... Right?

As palancas7 already says, the thread title is misleading (and so is the title of that eurogamer article). He said no wii talk until 45m units sold. That means it could very well release after 2012. Ofcourse, in the end, it will depend on when the other companies releases their next consoles.
