agree, a pretty big mistake by ms not releasing kinect in ww launch, it could have been even bigger

Oh wow, and so it has begun. This is what we've been waiting for all year, excellent all across the board. PS3 still (probably) has GT up their sleeve for the holidays too. Kinect and Black Ops = beastly for 360, probably more of the same next week.



I LOVE paying for Xbox Live! I also love that my love for it pisses off so many people.

Hmm interesting sales, MS just baarely beat the Wii with its Kinect. I think it's safe to say that Nintendo should be fine. Sales are really going to take off once DKC is released. Nice to see Goldeneye on the top 10, though I'm still a bit disapointed, I thought it would sell much more. And only one Kinect non bundled game in the top 10 thankfully :/

It's not even at X360/PS3/Wii launch level, but their launch weren't undertracked, so why would Kinect launch be undertracked?

So you think that MS and Nintendo will just sit still and not drop prices. Remember that Sony is the one that has cut prices the most this gen.  MS has dropped prices on the 2 main SKUs by a total of $100 each.  Sony $300.

Preview of next week:  Week ending Nov 14 2009. The holiday boost is upon us.  360 and PS3 got COD:MW2 last year this week. This year they get COD:BOps and 360 get Kinect launch in EMEAA as well as continued boost in NA.

The 199 cut is most important, the vast majority of consoles sold are sold after a system hits 199, especially in America. PS3 is at a big disadvantage not having a 199 sku, but it still is selling very well. The 199 ps3 will be the final cut in the console war. 

Yes we have heard that time and time again.  We only have history of the Playstation and Playstation 2 selling at $199 to base this on when they had already won the previous generations.  Things will play out very differently this time with the 2 consoles in front of the PS3 probably at the $100 price point when the PS3 hits $200.



Its libraries that sell systems not a single game.
