*That's only if it releases this year, and if it's only out for 2-3 months.  Lifetime sales will definitely be higher than MGS4. 

im not sure any game other than wii fit can come close to gta4. thats mostly just cuz i have no idea the actual response to it (i know itll be big, but how big?) and the remaining appeal of the wii to casuals.

Wow. All you guys think WiiFit will literally EXPLODE when it hits the market in US and Euro. I think it will be popular as well, but Im not sure if it'll top SSBB or GTA.

I personally hate the GTA games. Well-made, but not my thing. Im going with SSBB. I dont see a lot of Mario Kart's. Wii caters to the casual gamers and Mario Kart is pretty dang casual (plus a lot of hardcore fans will pick it up)

If Wii fit attach rates in NA and PAL regions mirror Japanese rates then it may top SSBB and GTA, among others

SSBB or Mario Kart deserve it, Wii fit will probably get it.

My prediction

1. Wii Fit - 8 million (all depends on supply and the release date, at the current rate it even looks like it can sell 4 million in Japan alone this year!)

2. SSBB - 6.5 million during 2008 (it's already tracking above SMG and that sold 5.5 million already, the early release will give it the advantage it needs over the competition except for Wii Fit)

3. Mario Kart Wii - 5.4 million (The Holiday title of the year for many, sales only limited to the late release)

4. GTA4 Xbox360 - 4.2 million (Allthough most GTA fans are PS fans I'm thinking the 360 version will sell more)

5. GTA4 PS3 - 3.8 million




GT5, FFXIII, KZ2, MGS4... all really great system sellers but fall short to enter the top5.

@loadedstatement: Wii Fit will not explode. It's like a tsunami, one small wave after another and it won't slow down! What makes the title special are it's legs. It's selling 100k weekly in Japan alone! I'm sure it will sell 4 million in Japan alone in 2008.

Now even if it sells only half of that in Others and US, it will still be the biggest thing out there.

Someone made the same topic in France and everybody says GTA IV will be the best sold game in 2008 , that's not the case here !

-Smash Bros Brawl : 12 millions

-Wii Fit : 12 milllions

-Star Craft 2 : 7 millions

-Mario Kart Wii : 6,5 millions

-Call of Duty 5 : 6 millions

-Madden NFL 09 : 5,5 millions

-Gran Turismo 5 : 5 millions (if it is WW)

-PES 2009 : 4,5 millions

-Fifa 09 : 4,5 millions

-Halo Wars : 2,5 millions (a lot of Halo's fan in NA ... )

-Metal Gear Solid 4 : 2,5 millions

-Killzone 2 : 2 millions

-Fable 2 : 1,5 millions



WIthout Wii Sports and Wii play because of bundled.
