Clarify (please)

there is nothing to say here.

A bunch of combined games, no numbers,

I lol at you NPD.

Yeah it is pretty sucky .. don't know why they've taken this route (again)

Well if the information is being bought by individuals....they feel that they should limit a public release.

*Yawn*

I remember when NPD threads used to be fun...  Why NPD took several steps back is just dumb.

Frankly, I am not going to assume NBA did amazing when it's on 6 platforms compared to fable which is in one. I bet this stupid publishers forced NPD to show their games that way.

NPDs: NBA 2K11, Fallout: New Vegas Lead October Sales New game sales still down versus last year, though there were some bright spots.

The NPD Group has released its videogame industry sales results for the month of October, 2010, with NBA 2K11 and Fallout: New Vegas coming out on top. NBA 2K11 came in first place in terms of combined SKUs or, in other words, it was the best-selling game when you combine sales of its Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 2, PlayStation Portable, Wii and PC versions. For better or for worse, this is how the NPD reports its data now. In terms of individual SKUs, the best-selling game of the month was the Xbox 360 version of Fallout: New Vegas, which sold around 679,000 units in total. Rock Band 3, which also debuted in October, did not place on the top ten. According to NPD analyst Anita Frazier, the game came in fifteenth place, though it should be noted that the game premiered on October 26. "Based on solid reviews, [Rock Band 3] has the potential to perform well over the holidays," said Frazier.

The software top ten chart follows.

1. NBA 2K11

2. Fallout: New Vegas

3. Medal of Honor

4. Fable III

5. Star Wars: The Force Unleashed II

6. Halo: Reach

7. Just Dance 2

8. FIFA Soccer 11

9. Madden NFL 11

10. WWE Smackdown vs. Raw 2011

In terms of hardware sales, the best-selling console in October was, as it often is, the Nintendo DS. The Xbox 360 was the only console to realize a sales performance when compared to October of 2009.
