Just another reason for ps3 buyers to get it used.

LOL next COD will be 540p? then lower again next time??
Sad thing is shit like this sells with ease while there are far greater games out there where developers actually put effort to give the top quality as possible to the buyers and it bombs hard.

An example might help make your post reasonable.

They pushed the consoles in a way which was more friendly to the Xbox 360 architecture so therefore for their specific game engine the Xbox 360 came out on top. It happens. Treyarch are to be commended for not gimping one version because its better than the other.
Tease.
on ps3 mw2 you could only play 1 person online at a time per console right? And now you can do 4 player split screen can't you? Would that acount for the difference in mw2 and bo?
| snfr said: Well, I expected this somehow. WaW also looked inferior on the PS3, on the other hand MW and MW2 looked equal on both consoles. So I think Treyarch is the problem here... I still haven't received my copy btw., although I preordered it..., pretty weird. |
I have it and agree. Treyarch do seem less profficient in PS3 coding than IW, which is clearly the issue here. What has always puzzled me is that surely their start point for both WaW and Black Ops was the engine from CoD4, which IW had cleary put a lot of effort into optimizing well for both 360/PS3? If so, how the heck do they always manage to then somehow "weaken" the PS3 version?
I've only had time to play 30 minutes so far, which has been good so far, but just like WaW there is the sense the game code just isn't quite as polished as CoD4.
Like Activision care with the sales its seeing though. Whatever happened to craftmanship pride?
Try to be reasonable... its easier than you think...
Hmm i wonder if this is a sign that we are slowly headed towards the end of this generation of consoles given that developers seem to be finding it harder to optimize engine code to bring us better looking games and i don't think the majority of the audience will notice better "behind the scenes systems" like refined AI.
That or since CoD will sell no matter what Activision does maybe they just don't see any value in improving the game engine and plan on milking dry like they did with Guitar Hero -- hello 3 CoD's in 2011, 7 in 2012 and 12 in 2013!

Yeah it also seems weird to me that they can't reach the same quality as IW. As I see it Treyarch has simply more problems in coding for PS3, and IW doesn't seem to help them getting rid of their problems. One reason could be that the competition between those two is too big so IW doesn't want to help, or Activision simply forces IW to finish their own game in time, so that they don't have enough time to help. Right now I think that Activision doesn't really care about this, they only/mostly care about sales.
Anyway, more than half of IW left and I'm curious now what MW3 will look like on PS3.
2012 - Top 3 [so far]

Yes that can be said for the Wii devs as well. Lazyness hurts in the business world.
