Call of Duty: Black Ops was released yesterday, November 9th, 2010.  While you are waiting in the lobby, a "Counters" bar scrolls along the bottom of the screen, spouting off random collective stats.  The stats listed below in regular font are from the Playstation 3, with bold being Xbox 360... some of these are absolutely incredible.

656 years spent playing
9.60 billion shots fired
46,263,258 headshots
151,912 flags captured
281,451 flag returned
123,452,673 practice dummies destroyed
12,948,334 offensive and defensive medals gained

1,871,896 matches played
19,624,247 medals earned
66,55,382 headshots
0.12 percent of the world's population has been killed
656 years spent playing?!  And that's only one system's stats. Wow.  That's in one freaking day.  I can't wait to see these stats at the end of the week.

Dude, you are taking those figures from out of nowhere, aren't you?

MW2 was HUGE (even though it could've been bigger if it weren't for the lack of DS) on PC. MW2's multiplayer peaked at 130k a couple of weeks after launch, plus 40-50k people playing the single-player at the same time. That's like 180k PC gamers playing at the same time!!! This was all tracked on Steam.

Just so you can see how big COD games are on PC, take a look at this:

Football Manager shipped 740k in it's first 2 months, not counting Digital sales. On steam, it peaked at 35k around concurrent users on Steam, never reached 40k.

So 35k peak ~ 740k sold

MW2 peaked at 180k after a couple of weeks, 5 times what FM2010 peaked!

So tell me, how much do you think MW2 sold, since it had a peak of 130k MP 50k SP, compared to FM2010's 35k?!

MW2 was easily a multi-million seller, and Black Ops will outsell MW2 on PC.
