Stupid blank post error....
I wonder if they're gonna try and get the Guinness World Record for most swears in a video game back after Mafia II took it from the original earlier this year.

I bought this game (instead of Mad World!) for $50 and the end credits were rolling about 30 minutes later! I played two player co-op, too. The humor mostly consisted of the black guy calling everything/everybody mother fucker--except for that twisted part at the end. My and my partner were mostly stone faced through the whole game. Didn't even want to go back to unlock the extras. $50 for a half hour of fun? I could have had a hooker for that amount--one without a penis, too! If there is a sequel and it's a little longer with a little better writing, I may want to buy it. I don't regret many games I buy, even the incredibly shitty ones. I got no entertainment at all from HOTD: Overkill. |
Given your description, it sounds true to every HOTD game.
Except Typing of the Dead, that game was a blast. Typing rules!

Hell yes, I want a follow up!
I had such a great time with the first one!
Actually House of the Dead Overkill has sold 720k copies on the Wii and it keeps selling. It may top 1million after all. I remember everyone when the game was just released calling it megaflop.
I want to try a rail shooter on Kinect...Seems like a match made in heaven.
POW! POW! POW! RELOAD!
@z101 it is clear that you havent even touched Move if you said its too slow for shooters, Time Crisis says hi.
@jarrod you've seen the sales for 3rd party Wii games in general????? multiplat games sell better than single platform games anyway. Overkill was a flop. loved it, but it flopped. almost 2 years and it hasnt even come close to a mil. Sega would have to be dumb if they dont make this multi, dont matter to me im getting it either way.
Awesome - loved the first one. It was better playing with another person though.

I've seen sales for Sega Wii games. They're better than PS360 usually.
I actually agree, they should go multi. But the Move version isn't going to be a big seller at all (especially compared to HOTDO1 on Wii, it's almost guaranteed to sell less).
Expect more F-bombs and a crappy framerate.
