The DS has allowed Nintendo to make great progress in formerly Sony dominated Europe. The DS should pass 60 million WW next week and cross 20 million in NA sometime early 2008. Software numbers are equally dominant.

Who would have thought the DS would be so dominating? Even I shrugged when it was originally announced. Once I saw how it took off in Japan, it erased any doubts I had about the system's potential.

Next week the DS will have sold more in Others than in Japan as well and it will probably only pull away from it quite quickly.
