well, that's some of weirdest crap I've heard all week, though considering T3B is doing its best to BUTCHER the canon of both the previous two games and the novel they were sequels to, maybe I shouldn't be surprised. They also seem toe be forgetting that Front Mission Evolved was a huge flop as was NIER. As for Chrono and Mana, LEAVE THEM BE. They at least have some dignity left. Unless you got Kato and Tokita to do another Chrono game, but they've refused to do another one unless they got all the old team bac

Flopping doesnt mean its a bad game. T3B being a reboot doesnt bother one bit.

Agree on some level with Aiddon, dont touch Chrono, Mana, Tactics or Vagrant Story, those games should remain as timeless classics, unless of course Sakaguchi decides to involve it himself. he was involved in some extent to some of those games and imo towards their success.

but T3B might turn out to be quite good, and Nier wasnt was bad game, they should focus on making successes of current games or new IPs, imo the new SE with Wada cant be trusted to honor the quality of the originals.

Do you guys really want Square-Enix to make a new Chrono game?

I mean, seriousely, Square-Enix?

Let Horii do it.  He made the only good one. ;)

Chrono would be fine if they could get all the old crew back, but that's not going to happen (even if Kato is an INCREDIBLY talented story writer). Mana MIGHT need some work since Dawn of Mana was HORRENDOUS. Tactics and VS would be fine since most of their old team is still around (and Matsuno is back) even if VS has a problem of probably needing to make a story without Ashley (though Ashley's development was DONE at the end of VS, so maybe they shouldn't worry about that).

As for NIER, it wasn't a BAD game but it had a near-universal "meh" associated with it critically and was quickly forgotten. T3B on the other hand also has the stupid idea that somehow ignoring the ENTIRE PREMISE of its predecessors is somehow a good thing (especially considering the premise was NOT made by Square). Plus from what I've seen and read in previews it doesn't even seem like the gameplay is going to redeem it (note to Square: YOU SUCK AT SHOOTERS)

But I thought he worked on Trigger...

Bet with Dr.A.Peter.Nintendo that Super Mario Galaxy 2 won't sell 15 million copies up to six months after it's release, the winner will get Avatar control for a week and signature control for a month.

Hopefully this will bring some exciting results, Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light is brilliant, so let's hope they can churn out more great games with this strategy.

He did. Like I said. <3

Their best game in years is Chaos Rings... Too bad it's iPhone only so most on this site will never play this masterwork.. hope they make a sequel to that or at least port it from the iPhone to another handheld/console..

actually Horii didn't do that much for Trigger. He made the basic concept alongside Sakaguchi, but most of the actual main plot was contributed to Masato Kato (who was the writer-director of Cross) with Kitase and Tokita doing sub-plots.
