I have to go now... not sure if I'll be back today but I'll leave you with an interesting find:

First, nen-suer commented in this way  about the number of claimed nameless:

" Awesome, with every townie coming forward a we can start seeing all of the town power roles die one by one."

I know he was being sarcastic and decrying the fact that vanilla were claiming left and right but then a few pages later he did the exact thing that he was against and roleclaim vanilla townie too!

Well seeing that I'm probably the last townie who didn't come forward and Hep theroy that there is

4 townies in the game i thought role claiming can help to identify if we have scum hiding within us.

The damage is done, throwing one more youma into the mix can't do anymore harm now can it :P

There is no way there is only 4 townies, that wouldn't make sense

considering this game has 20 players

err 4 nameless townies is the obvious answer here.

Not when there's more than 4 people contending for the job.

What is it now?

Heph, nen, SAK, radishhead (didn't he imply it) and someone else

MG_94 also implied it, I think

In response to those who have commented on people's trust in me, I have no idea why they hold that trust, but I'm not complaining.

You're not complaining mafia could be latching onto you?

I'd like to think that they are townies attracted by my elegance and wisdom, but I suppose your theory could be true.

Spoilsport.

All right, looking back, that whole nameless vs name thing brought absoultey no suspects. Prof, Heph, and Linkz(something) are not in my suspect list. None of them are not completelycleared, but they're not scummy either.

Now, SAK did a possible slp-up during that whole thing. But like I said before, it seems real to me. It's either that or he's using the ignorance excuse for covering up.

I mean, comments like this: "Also, you people and you're super theories, wish I could make them that sound reaonable. :/" Almost seem like he's purposely trying to give excuses for not contributing.

I'll FoS SAK. At this point it could go either way for him, he's either being completely honest with his thoughts or he's trying to cover up.

I'll also go along with theprof's big post and HoS- theRepublic. He really needs to come in and discuss.

Er, why should there only be four Youmas? Looking through the Wikipedia page, there are some 30 different named Youmas, and I imagine far more unnamed ones. A youma is just a generic monster, isn't it?

And, of course, we have no guarantee, and nor does the Mafia, that anyone roleclaiming youma is actually a youma.

FoS on me for saying lying isn't a bad thing.

Starting at this post, 3 posts about why lying is bad. Seems like trying to assert his own pro-town attitude.

A lot of other people were saying that lying is a bad thing too, prof.

Does this post bother anyone else?

It has been nagging at the back of my mind since I quoted it early on page one.

He later says the above a little later after I say that he might be telling kantor to pay more attention.

I don't think that's necessarily a base to accuse someone.

theRepublic said:

Wow.  The town is running at full speed off a cliff right now.

Vanilla townies do not have names.

Was not true. There were two votes on Heph, and even heph realized that it was a fake wagon. Heph later ran a fake wagon on me. (at least this is what I believe) We were not running full speed off a cliff.

It could have certainly looked like we were heading to plummet for a few people.

theRepublic said:

Yes, I think either Prof or SuperAdriank need to hang today.

Prof because it seems unlikely to me that some vanilla townies would be named and others not.  It would be damn sneaky of Final-Fan to have done that.  His whole plan has done nothing but put townies with names, most likely power roles, in danger.

SuperAdriank because of his vote for Linkzmax.  At the time, SuperAdrinak said he thought that Linkzmax said that townies do not have names.  If SuperAdriank really is a vanilla townie as he now claims, why in the world did he vote for Linkzmax?

I just came to a decision.

Vote: SuperAdriank

Bolded above, he called my name a plan. And yet, he characterizes me as a mafia. Basically, I need to hang because either I'm a mafia or because my "plan" is counter-productive. Although, he never presents ANY evidence that I'm a mafia, and is simply trying to make the case that I am hurting the town. He then votes superadriank, and I assume he wrote me in simply to provide a base for accusation tomorrow. If SuperadrianK gets lynched and flips town, his argument will be very strong that my "plan" has been counter-productive and use that as proof that I'm mafia.

That's a good point. Giving himself a defense if a mislynch were to occur.

Hm.

I'd rather get prof today, but I'll change my vote if the wagon is trundling in that direction.

Don't change (for now).  Prof jumping on the only other lynch candidate besides himself 3 minutes after I put the first vote on SuperAdriank does not make a wagon.

Here is where I pointed out republic "directing" Khuutra. Seemingly town behavior and cautiousness make this stand out to me.

I really don't get you prof. Being outspoken is a scum tell. Being a lurker is a scum tell. Being cautious is a scum tell. Everything is a scum tell to you. I think you just need to lower your level of paranoia, prof.

Now about the whole named vs nameless situation: To me there's something just not right because I don't believe Final-Fan went around naming some vanilla townies (like prof) and then ran out of names and decided to name the rest of them "A youma".

Final-Fan even said that he specifically picked a Sailor Moon theme because it had so many names.

Not sure why he said this. It is almost a complete 180 on what he's been saying, yet later on he will continue to doubt my name.

It may have been a misunderstanding, but that's really a stretch. Contradictions are a good tell, and that's a pretty bad one.

theRepublic said:

It is not ridiculous.  In un-themed vanilla games, every vanilla townie is just called a townie, and the mafia know it.  The only difference here is that the mafia did not know what the town would be called in this game.

Again, he just knows that town are called youma. Consider that when he said the other quote he said "do not have names", not "are all named youma". When he said that first one, Heph was the only one to claim that his name was youma.

...? Aren't nameless youma basically the same thing as having no name?

theRepublic said:

Because I can independently verify everything Hephaestos has said about the subject as of this post.  And, he said it all before I was able to come back to the game.

He never said the town names were youma. He himself did not know, and said "do not have names" in the case that Heph was pulling a fast one, I believe.

What's also of significant interest is his relationship to other players. I call it negative space relationships, that is, he has almost zero connection to several other players. In this web, I would point out noname2200, dtewi, hatmoza, radish, and possibly kamal. This could be simple avoidance, but I also need to point out how cautious each one of these players is being. Very few posts from all of them, and almost all of it is straight facts. No opinions, no guesses, no ideas.

Sorry, then, prof if I haven't had that many posts. I explained that I had to stay after school every day this week. So if you want more opinions you got it. I think that theRepublic isn't the most suspicious person, and the only thing that we really have is a different playstyle, i.e. he's lurking more than usual. Half of the points you bring up are about you and theRepublic, and more than half of your points are hardly valid.

So there. I give theRepublic 3.2 suspicion points out of 10 for one contradiction and a baseless accusation.

I'd really enjoy you backing that statement up with evidence. I don't recall ever saying that outspoken-ness is a scum tell. Being a lurker and being cautious are very similar. You can be cautious by being a lurker. FoS on you for criticizing my sanity.  Though it's a very low level FoS.

It may be a stretch if pointing out a contradiction, I'll give you that. I'm simply confused as to what this (his) post is for, exactly. He claims that all names are the same, but then gives counterevidence. It's just weird.

However, Heph is the only one that claimed Youma.  If Heph were being tricky, and said "I am A Grunt in service of X" and therepublic agreed, it would be obvious that republic was a phony. However, by just saying that they are all nameless, he "confirms" what Heph is saying, without actually taking the chance that Youma could be a substitute. So, no. Saying that townies are Youma is not the same as saying the above.  I would consider this more of a paranoid stretch than anything else I've said.

But other than that, I think you're not being fair to the evidence provided.

I don't think that it was much out of the blue. Many people reread the thread, and if they stumble across something they find suspicious, wouldn't they bring it to attention?.

Republic referred to it as a "plan" below. If he really believed it was a plan, he would know that it wouldn't go that far. I honestly believe that he thought it was a plan, and therefore the post in reference looks like it was meant to look pro-town.

As I have said, it is a contradiction, which is why I have some suspicion of him. But I think you're taking things a bit literally with the word "plan".

You say that you don't think over-analyzing or making a lot claims is a tell? As in other words outspoken?

It may be a stretch if pointing out a contradiction, I'll give you that. I'm simply confused as to what this (his) post is for, exactly. He claims that all names are the same, but then gives counterevidence. It's just weird.

I don't know either.

Therepublic himself says that "every townie is just called a townie, and the mafia know it". He, at this point, only knows that Youma is a possible name in place of "townie". Yeah... I think that's a bit... stretchy.

But other than that, I think you're not being fair to the evidence provided.

What did me accepting something as possible have anything to do with anything? I knew there was a bus driver, which is why I agreed with you. If theRepublic turns out to be mafia, I'd even vote for myself. But as of now, I don't think he's a prime suspect for mafia.

I may not be being fair in your eyes, but that's what I think of your evidence. Not all that strong.
