If you click his profile, you'll see why he was banned. It was harsh, but oh well.
OT: Hmm...so Dracula still is in the game, only you're him...still the fact that you're saying Castlevania barely provided the "Castlevania" feel of gothic, medieval, fantasy is what I feared the minute I saw the game.

I saw his profile he logged on 3 minutes ago...

Oh...he got unbanned. Well, he was banned for bringing the PS3 into a topic about the XBL increase (something like that).
And regarding the game, so you'd say that vampire lord's castle is kind of like Curse of Darkness in regards to the bland level design?

Um I ain't gonna lie I only played through maybe 3-4 stages of Chronicles, about a half hour of Symphony of the Night, a few hours of Lament of Darkness, about 10 minutes of the original and I played through all of Order of Ecclesia so I'm not really the person to comment, especially not having played Curse of Darkness, but from what I remember about the art in Lament of Darkness and what I was playing, the castles are about as bland in Lament of Darkness as they are in Lords of Shadows, except with prettier graphics. Like the castle was the closest to the Castlevania style cause there's a few labs, libraries adn such it's just before that for about 6 hours you're in this fantasy setting that's very off and filled with too much light. The area with the Lycans should have been in complete darkness at night with the moon out and in abandoned villages or something. Instead you get well here's some links to IGN with some screens
The early part of the game was pretty much like this:

that's just concept art cause I couldn't find any good in game screens but they get very close to this concepts lighting and atomsphere.
This is pretty much the interior of the castle:

like the interior varies but that's the overall architecture. Like it's goth, but it's lacking something and it's a bit bland.
I think they should have skipped the ruins and do villages that probably would have made me happier with the art style. Especially with the Lycans, like the first first 1/3 of the game was with werewolves, middle was vampires (wish they used a few succubus' instead of the ugly vampires that they used repeatedly) and the end was zombies and ghosts (this last part was very much like the first part of the game in terms of style). So the game started out strong with a full moon and a village, but right after you leave that village it's day and you're in a bunch of ruins for the bulk of the first part.
