Loved the movie!!!

Did people see this poster at their local Cinemas?

At the cinema I watched SW EP III, they had the long full version of this poster hung up across a massive wall and looking at it was just jaw dropping. I was so hyped for EP III.

Well, at least you said it was better than the worst of the original trilogy.

By an extremely long way, my favourite prequel.

Good:

The battle between Obi-Wan and Darth Vader on Mustafar. My favourite battle of the prequels.

The three-way showdown between Anakin, Windu and Sidious.

Something important actually happened!

General Grievous

Ewan McGregor as Obi-Wan...again.

Obi-Wan and Grievous' battle.

Fantastic CGI and special effects. By far the best in the series.

Yoda fighting Palpatine in the Council Chamber.

Order 66 was shown very well. 

It's actually reasonable to despise Anakin Skywalker now! (Do note that I don't despise the real Darth Vader)

They toned down the whole romance thing.

Very uplifting ending.

It's still not exactly A-class writing. Indeed, the writing leaves a lot to be desired.

Hayden Christensen actually managed to exceed himself by acting worse in this than in Attack of the Clones. Yoda, Obi-Wan, Grievous, Mace Windu and Darth Sidious made up for it...but, still.

4/10. Slightly better than the other prequels in the fact i can watch it without wanting to kill myself. But in all honesty it still isn't a patch on any of the originals.

Episode I was very good too. I love the battle against Darth Maul... So well delivered. Best light saber fight in the trilogy in my opinion

Special effects are not what make movies good

I loved many aspects of this movie, all of which have been covered in depth already. The opening, Yoda v Palpatine, Anakin v Obi-Wan (even though it was too long), Yoda's ultimate defeat and retreat into permanent exile, and whilst it wasn't handled as well as it could have been, Anakin's ultimate turn to the dark side with the slaughtering at the temple.

But, there's so much that was just bad, most of which plagued all three prequel movies. The worst being the handling of Anakin's transformation into Darth Vader. The 'Nooooo!' is worth losing a couple of points on it's own.

I agree with Smeags on almost everything once again.

"Battle of the Heroes" is freaking awesome.

Count Dooku is killed in the first 15 minutes. Seriously?

I don't remember anything about a lizard though.

I give it an 8/10. Lots of great moments, but writing and acting on the whole are still worse than the original trilogy. Mustafar sequence in particular is great. Didn't really have too many issues with Grievous.
