Forums - Nintendo - Goldeneye outselling Modern Warfare Wii sku for the comparable period.

Update, since this seems to be the unofficial sales thread:

At 450K right now (Dec 04th). That means it's very likely to sell half a million next week, and perhaps 600K-700K by the end of the year.

Black Ops is doing well. Might even make half a million by the end of the year.

Wow, this thread is still going, well it's expected as how GoldenEye sales are going...

And proud member of the Mega Mario Movement!

With the zero marketing for Black Ops and good marketing for the most part for Goldeneye, i think they are both doing rather well and thats great news. I am so happy that the thread is still going. Maybe i should rename it to Goldeneye/Black Ops Wii Sales Thread. What do you guys think. I will update it whenever it needs it.

I am going to change it up right now. Tinker with it.

Cant change the title. Do you guys know how i can get the mods to change the title for me. I just updated the post with numbers as of December 4, 2010.

Dec 11, added another 91K, which puts this well over half a million sold. This is probably the fastest selling FPS on the Wii, since gamers are actually aware of it for once.

It could likely sell 750K by the end of the year. The question then will be how quicly it sells another 250K.

It probably helps that people are actually aware it was made, but it also helps it is actually a good game too.

It's not as though most of the other FPS on the Wii blew. Most just got piss poor marketing. But legs it keeping this up due to the quality. Other M had at least as much marketing as this game, but it will likely be outsold by this game in a week or so.

Week (Worldwide) Goldeneye COD: Black Ops COD: MW Reflex
1 144,691 89,450 60,195
2 82,192 59,698 39,306
3 62,545 84,637 71,974
4 78,173 65,561 62,752
5 79,837 67,305 93,904
6 91,116 98,020 124,537
7 110,831  39,983*** 171,564
8  74,411***   76,697
9     43,129
10     28,318
TOTAL 723,796 504,744 772,376

EDIT: Americas sales are TBA.

Goldeneye appears likely to pass Reflex's 10-week total as long as it doesn't decrease by 40% every week for the next 3 weeks. Next week should be one of its biggest, if not THE biggest sales week it can get so it is a lock to pass 772k.

Black Ops needs America even more but it has had its best week yet. Both titles have done well.

Leatherhat on July 6th, 2012 3pm. Vita sales:"3 mil for COD 2 mil for AC. Maybe more. "  thehusbo on July 6th, 2012 5pm. Vita sales:"5 mil for COD 2.2 mil for AC."

Americas are up, and first of all, wow for Super Mario Collection selling over half a million, and was still not enough to fill pre-orders.

Second of all, more great weeks for Goldeney and Black Ops. The latter should sell half a million by Christmas, and the former could sell 750K by then. Goldeneye may sell a million by February, with Black Ops some time after that.

This would be a great time to deliver some last gen FPS ports to the Wii (with the controls we now know work), just to take advantage of the growing FPS fanbase, in a quick manner. I would buy a Timesplitters trilogy.

Not claiming it's going to happen, just pointing out it would be a good idea. Even EA could do better with a Wii version of Black, or even MoH Frontline, than what they did with Extraction.
