Damn right it's confusing. Goldeneye was a "more tempting buy" than last year's MW2? Or are they talking about Reflex and it was a mix up?
Good for Goldeneye (comparatively). It should teach publishers to support their games for the Wii (although, ironically enough, I haven't seen too many, if any, Goldeneye commercials)

There were a few before launch. Not that many now, although sales are still strong. Word of Mouth is picking it up.
Also, this supports what seems to be the real issue with "core" games on the Wii (I hope. When people even know such a game is on the Wii, but they think it's inferior, they won't buy it. Call of Duty sells well, but it still gets this compared to the other systems (save for the PC, which is also considered inferior for many). When the games are percieved as just as good, then the sales are about the same. We can see this in the sales of the Lego Whatever games and the music games. Those can't be brushed off as casual gaming, since the audience for these games has been shown to be large on all three systems.
Goldeneye is one time when the Wii gets what is percieved as the superior version, with Blood Stone being seen as the weaker game (and that's not even taking reviews into account). The result is the game people think is better is selling better.
