So how much has the Winnning Eleven / PES franchise sold overall?

There have been some Japan only games so it is hard to track its overall sales, but I'd say about 75 million.

If I am not mistaken, FIFA is far older than PES.

I have:

Fifa international Soccer
Fifa soccer 96
FIfa Road to World Cup 98
Fifa 99
Fifa 2000
Fifa 2001

then I switched to PES until
Fifa 10

If I am not mistaken, FIFA is far older than PE

The first FIFA title was released on July 15th, 1993.
The first Winning Eleven title was released on July 21, 1995.

Last year, the PES franchise was at 55.5 million.

Interesting. I wonder if that number includes all the Japan only winning eleven games.

So it should be at 60m by now.

Thanks the dates sound just about right!

This thread has brought me memories on how FIFA changed PC football games from overhead and 2D to the 3D type of visuals. That was the time when FIFA was setting new standards :)

The Final Fantasy franchise is currently at 97 million. It should reach 100 million very soon.
