I'm not from U.S. but I guess I can share my experience at Futureshop today (launch was today right?  Or was it yesterday? anyways.), oh and while I was at Futureshop I noticed a few other non-Kinect gaming stuff that I'll share here as well.  So first I walked in, there was a big Kinect display of 360s (Didn't see any actual Kinect), there were maybe 2 360s sold from the pile.  Walking around I noticed a lot of Kinect 360 bundles in the store, but no Kinects, so I'm guessing they sold out of Kinects.  Now for the other non-Kinect gaming stuff I saw.  First things first I have to say Sony ramped up advertising for things, in the Playstation isles there were these... I guess you'd call them banners.  But they weren't just picture banners they were these video banners that had an LCD in the middle and you could select a button on the sides.  Each button was for a game and there were maybe 3 buttons each side of the LCD, crazy if you ask me.  They had these set up for PS3 and PSP.  They kinda looked like mini music kiosks (Those kiosks where you select a CD and you listen to the music).  Another thing I noticed was a slick PSP bundle with God of War that was black with red buttons, I'd buy one if I didn't have one already.  Last thing I noticed was that all the move controllers were sold out, but plenty of bundles which is interesting.  I wonder if bundles are going to sell anymore or if people are picking up additional controllers and move sales have quietted down.  Well that was my adventure at Futureshop today. 

So stopped by the new Microsoft store twice today. Once for a meeting with Microsoft person I know and the 2nd time for my kids to take a picture and get an autograph from Devin Hester of the Chicago Bears (by the way he looks much better with the dreadlocks cut off).  The place was jumping and many many Kinect Bundles and Kinect Standalone units.  Now on the way home I had to stop at a Gamestop to get a Kinect extension cable.  They said the place was a buzz all day and have sold many 360S bundles and just as many Kinect standalone.  For curiosity I stopped in the Best Buy next store and not only did I see 2 people checking out with bundles but the Xbox section doubled in size.

I am also in Canada and the local Best buy had a few kinect bundles and stand alone kinects as well.  Picked one up along with your fitness and dance central.  Love the games and was surprised that it worked very well though I have to say they could have implemented more motion with the Xbox interface (i.e. why is Netflix not kinect enabled?).  went back to pick up Kinect Sports and will try that out soon as a friend over Live said that is a suepr fun game.

My nearby walmart had absolutely no KINECT sensors or bundles available and there was only 1 game of each of the KINECT games left.

I'll probably be going to my local Gamestop and Target over the weekend.

Well gamesradar says it didn't sell out at its launch event......then again there were tons of it there.

Wow, I just saw that they have a Kinect demo set-up now at a big electronics store in my city!(in Japan) I'm not sure if they had any game demos or anything though as a woman was playing the Vanquish (game/demo?) on it when I was there. I didn't have time to stay long.

They also have a Move demo set-up as well, which has been up since before Move launched.

Note: The Japanese launch of Kinect isn't until Nov. 20th.

I have the Kinect sensor pre-ordered from Amazon JP (and I have Dance Central ordered from Play-asia, it looks like they aren't releasing this game in Japan???)

Amazon USA is out of their own stock again.  Kinect is staying at #2 at inflated prices from other retailers connected to Amazon... (It is even ahead of CoD for PS3)...

i didn't go to any stores but i did see my local news have about a 5 minute piece on kinect/MS store grand opening.  this is the kind of free advertizement that helped make the wii so popular.  the best part (to me) is at the end the news casters did there friendly banter thing and they started making fun of the wii.  i forget exactly what they said but the gist was saying the wii is limited because it can only track the motions of the controller while kinect can track all of your motions.  color me impressed that the masses understood that distinction so well.
