i didn't go to any stores but i did see my local news have about a 5 minute piece on kinect/MS store grand opening. this is the kind of free advertizement that helped make the wii so popular. the best part (to me) is at the end the news casters did there friendly banter thing and they started making fun of the wii. i forget exactly what they said but the gist was saying the wii is limited because it can only track the motions of the controller while kinect can track all of your motions. color me impressed that the masses understood that distinction so well.
