Forums - Nintendo - Here we go again: Heavy Rain creator calls Wii a toy and board game

While the Wii is indeed a toy, it is also a media centre (believe it or not), so it's not that different from the PS3.

And David Cage is one of the most untalented people in the gaming industry and that is a fact.

It's not so much that he stated the obvious. It's that he had the gaul to use it as an insult to bolster attention to a platform (PS3) that has an identity crisis. He himself shares this affliction because his games are not games. They're poorly scripted interacive B-movies. /rant

The big bad man criticized your platform and you are mad about it eh ?

And last I checked the one platform with an identity crisis is the Wii, not the PS3 right now...

I'm not so sure about that.  The Wii is always the Wii, like it or not.

The PS3 is now trying to be the PS3 and the Wii simultaneously.

This will never be a win-win situation for anyone, and now the debate has turned to senseless nitpicking/insulting. Some just shouldn't take every little thing said about the Wii so personal, particularly if it wasn't meant that way.

I know you're Cage's White Knight and all but jesus... tone down the hypocrisy for a second.

Where's the hypocrisy? And for a guy who prides himself on bashing, I'm not sure you should ever speak on anything.

Go back and reread the thread.  The fact that you continually call "bias" (and are usually first to do so) when you're the biggest HR cheerleader on these boards is mindblowing.  The disconnect is baffling.

At least I can take ownership of my positions...

Don't waste your time trying to make him understand that, I already told him the exact same thing but unfortunately he's too blinded to understand anything. It's always double standards with him...

Like him, you only support one and trash on everything else. Makes sense that you'll back him up. Fine by me, although my point hasn't changed, so the claims of hypocrisy are comical.

Oh well, Carl said it best. Should've listened and kept away!

Yeah yeah... we're all wrong and you're so unbiased. Now why don't you wait for the help of darth and carl as usual, mr. double standards.

Looking by the number of your posts on this thread, it seems you have a lot of difficulties dealing with the fact that your favourite game isnt really appreciated here. lol

Who disliked Heavy Rain?

Of course I'm only talking to those who actually played it. And yes I said "played", because it's not only an "interactive movie".

I don't know why you would say that Heavy Rain isn't appreciated here atma. You're just provoking people at this point. Especially since Heavy Rain's user score is 9.0/10 here on VGC.

You called?

Anyway. Baiting, trolling and flaming all in one post.

Let's see if these mods finally get the nuts to ban the shit out of you! Fingers crossed!

And you're wrong. Heavy Rain is appreciated here. A lot.

Read the thread again, I was just referring to a large number of people here who disliked Heavy Rain. People are free to like it or not. Personnaly these ''interactive movie'' games are not my cup of tea. But if some people like it it's ok as long as they're not going into damage control at any price when its creator talk shit on a rival console.

But why was Heavy Rain brought into the discussion in the first place?

And you haven't even played Heavy Rain. You might like it if you'd give it a chance.

Edit: Metallicube is the one who mentionned it first. Yeah...

1. You really think the game doesn't have detractors?

2. Even if it is, the story is still bad, and being integrated into the game does detract from the game when you know how bad it is. And I've seen even before this game that too many gamers and developers don't really know about proper storytelling. Any casual mystery story fan can see this is loaded with holes and bad writing.

3. User scores are not the entire opinion of this site. That does mean some appreciate it, but not everyone.

Carl, carl, carl... lol

When would you finally learn that it's not because somebody doesnt think like you that he's automatically trolling or flaming?

Don't take your dreams for reality. Read my post again and you will quikly find out that there is absolutely no flaming, baiting nor trolling. Just an opinion in reaction of all the comments I have read so far on this thread, which you obviously doesnt share. If someone should get banned here it must be you just because that each time I'm having a discussion with your beloved CGI you feel the need to come at his rescue for throwing useless comments like you did.

1. Um, did you miss the thread title?

2. I might even (but that won't make the story any good).

3. Again, the thread title mentioned it first.
