IGN's definitely surprises me.

However, GameInformer's is closer to what I expected, but still lower than I expected. I thought it would get a 7 at least:

O_O that review was just non-stop bashing of the game, judging from those words, I'm suprised he didn't give the game a 4 or someting.

It's game informer.

I haven't read anything from them (now I'm glad I haven't), so from your comment, I take it they like to bash Wii games.

I suspected that when I saw that the reviewer managed to sneak in the word 'gimmick' among all of the vague or outlandish complaints.

Theyre notorious for being against many highly regarded Wii games. I canceled my subscription when it got to the point that Super Smash Bros Brawl was called a flop, and NMH was given a 6. IF it has anything to do with the Wii, i wouldnt trust GI....then again i wouldnt trust most other media with reviews anyway, be them Wii or otherwise.

It's not just the Wii. Sometimes their reviews can boggle the mind. The recent Alien Vs Predator got mixed reviews, but, unless I'm mistaken, the GI review complained that the Predators had to use stealth.

did you notice the don't bother without the classic controller, game informer still struggles with the idea that people actually like shooter with the wii remote, mark my words, using the wii remote will be described as cheating within days of the games release

it is not like enyone will force them to use the CC controls. if they call us "cheaters" then they can "cheat" as well :P

Because of Gameinformer the early average on Metacritic for GoldenEye is an 80.

game should do it, i just saw a commercial about it on tv, just before the 2nd half of the champions league matches start.

Being in 3rd place never felt so good

It is funny that IGN gave Goldeneye a 9.0 and BloodStone a 5.0

and Gameinformer gave Goldeneye a 6.5 and BloodStone a 7.5...

What the bloody hell is this, the twilight zone. I was hoping that both games get a fair share (if they're really good), but this is just ludacris!

Well, now I'm gonna bug someone to buy the game for me! :D

And proud member of the Mega Mario Movement!

just got done playing the first mission of the game, bump what GI is talking about (even though I do love that magazine, they have the best articles) there full of crap, blur effect??? BS no such thing. Go with IGN on this, its really good. the graphics are alot better than I thought it would be. The theme song is done by Nicole Schrienzenger. Thats not bad thing, I didnt know she could sing that well, I was shocked to see her name in the title sequences. If this game flops it wont be Activision's fault. If you have a Wii and even have a slight interest in Bond or FPSs get it.

And in other news IGN gives Blood Stone a 5

http://xbox360.ign.com/articles/113/1131346p1.html

well look on the bright side they have better graphic :D lol

can't wait for Golden Eye this friday!!

Shit, I had high hopes for Blood Stone too.

Too bad Goldeneye doesn't support voice chat :  That's the only thing that sucks about the game.

I just played online multi, and its all good. The maps are straight, no kinda lag, the only thing that blows is the lack of voice chat. As for the controls there solid but i gotta be honest. I still think the pointer controls are not that much better. aiming is great, but turning is a bitch. I just got served because I couldnt turn around in time. This is the first game im seriously using the Wiimote for FPSs so I probably need a bit more practice. I think ive finally found a Wii game that will finally make me put down my PS3 controller.

Isn't there an option to adjust the turning speed like in The Conduit?

How's the music in the game? Is there music in multiplayer like in the original Goldeneye?

Also, I haven't seen any reviews mentioning the length of the game? Someone knows how many hours it is?

@soma  I just stopped playing the game, i have no idea how long the length is, but there supposed to be different objectives per level on higher diffulculties.  There is an option to adjust speed, but I wanted to jump right in and get to it. the default is not that bad, I was just having a bit of trouble against human opponents. The music is good, just like the movies, as for multiplayer music, no dont think so, I wasnt really paying attention. most these online FPSs these days dont have music online so I wasnt really listening for it.

oh ok thanks, I remember reading somewhere (IGN I think) there was music in multiplayer, maybe just locally. Anyway, thanks for the info =)
