it is just ABSOLUTELY baffling as to why CAPCOM has this fixation on being "Westernized" (I blame that troll Inafune personally) when in fact the most critically or commercially successful games they've made this gen have been heavily Easternized like Street Fighter, DMC4, Mega Man 9 10, and Phoenix Wright. The only Western outsourced titles that have done well have been Dead Rising 2 and Bionic Commando: Rearmed with Dark Void and Bionic Commando being bombs both in sales and reviews. Hopefully they get their gig together before they turn into another Konami

Yeah. I thought he was just stressed...but how they believe the West is innovating far more than the East...I just don't get it.

I get it, and I'm Asian. Western Games are much more engaging and innovative these days in general. Japanese Games are the same ol' games we've been playing for the past 20 years with wackiness attached to them. I also hate Hentai Games, they are retarded, but they keep making those too, pure garbage genre alongside dating sims.

 

That holds true even on their PC games, look at FF14, it's like they haven't learned a god damn thing from 11, it's still slow, it's still got shitty menus even though it's out on PC first, combat is like a fucking turtle trying to get away from a 76 years old farmer chasing it. Compare that to some of the MMOs other Asian companies are making, the only thing it has is wooo look pretty! I swear, if Versus is bad... I'll.... it'd better not be..... not after how that one that shouldn't be called FF turned out, decent game but, man, not FF quality. I miss the Square of the 90s, so much.

 

 

PS: I'm not taking FPS into account btw.... they are all pretty much the same with tweaks..... that genre will die soon too if publishers farm it too much.

as ive said before the next HD re will be revealed in 2011 and release 2012

ive also said that it will bring back the horror guess im wrong as it looks like it will go more shooter with this news

god i hate this team based / coop stuff for a RE game but its probably going to be completely different than all the other RE games gameplay wise, after RE5 i guess thats a good sign though

they really need to just go back to basics with this series you know just one guy or girl going on a horrifying journey in a modern environment with just zombies and puzzles and the occasional weird bosses, leave that team based/coop stuff alone or have it optional for the campaign for those that want it they can have someone else jump in but for those that dont then it should be just one character not even dummy AIs

although RE5 left a bad taste in my mouth i really am interested to see how this will end up it could be very positive

in other RE news it may be old but i just saw the new RE3D movie just last night it was pretty good

I have all mainline Resident Evil games (RE1, 2, 3, Code Veronica, RE Zero, RE1Remake, RE4 and RE5). So I'll just keep ignoring the spin-offs like I've been doing up to now and it should all be ok.

What's wrong with KONAMI Kojima Producions says Hi


Kojima is the only Japanese guy working on ANYTHING over there, with the exception of Iga. They've outsourced practically everything to the West with mediocre results. Literally the only thing keeping that company afloat is Kojima and it shows whenever a Metal Gear isn't released.
