I think it shares design with Fable II, but it's probably closer to Fable I in spirit. For everything that's similar to something in Fable II, there's something else that's pretty different. I think they've done a good job keeping the Fable feel while adding enough new stuff that it doesn't seem too similar to either of its predecessors.

Not to be rude, but if you read the article, how come you can't come to your own conclusion? If I were you, I'd read other reviews to see if they have similar thoughts to IGN.
From what I heard, the game for the most part remains faithful to the series as a whole.

So the guys main complaint is that they give you enough money to either choose to be good or evil in a game that is built around choosing to be good or evil? That is a draw back? His whining that there is no good reason to choose evil over good is also just dumb. Historically anytime people rise up to depose some great evil dictator there is a new, great evil dictator put in his place and nothing changes. Evil people aren't some unified front. Why does he blindly assume anyone "evil" must want to work together?

I read the article and its actually reasonable
BUT NEVER in the article does it feel like Fable 3 is a BAD game
At the end the author says "ITS A GOOD GAME"
Why the HELL have they given it such a flamebaity title.....I mean I can understand site hits.....but the TITLE and the article DO NOT MATCH!
The title of the article is worse than my spree of misleading titles back in 2009!!
He does have some decent points, money is still very easy to acquire in the game, and my ending was exactly like he described, I chose all the good options and just donated money from my personal stash.
I think that a patch would solve this - base how much $ you need in your coffers based on how much property you own?
Was still a good game, and I dare say - better than Fable 2.

No, fable 3 is miles better than fable 2. Fable 3 is the best in the series by far

metacritic is flawed and a joke as well as IGN, Fable 3 is great,rent it first to see for yourself.
