Seriously.  Sometimes I feel like other cultures see it as lower or something, but I doubt they've tried the good stuff like you say.  N.A. FTW.

Well to be fair... the places most peopel visit, you can't get good BBQ.

New York?  Good luck.

California?  Actually, I should put California on the list i did above... well near the bottom as they seem to bland up everything.   Even the Pizza is thin as paper and lacks a proper amount sauce.

Texas has some decent BBQ.

Some areas of the country though, or if you just know the right person...  BBQ can be amazing.  Well done ribs or a pulled pork/beef sandwhich?   Isn't anything better in my opinion.

Espiecially if with the sandwhich you throw some well made coleslaw on top.

So in your opinion Tennessee is the place to be for bbq? Makes sense, but good to know. Yum.

......Pulled pork/beef sandwhich....*drools*

But hey, for pizza my New York does it right!  ;)

To be honest, i'm from Ohio, really like the different BBQ's i've had there.

I've just had so many people overwhelmingly talk about the mastery of BBQ in Memphis that I had to mention it as the top place.

Haven't met one person who's gone there who doesn't think it's the best place for BBQ, including food critics.

Apparently nearly any hole in the wall is supposed to have BBQ that rivals pretty much anywhere in the country... which is another problem really.  The best BBQ restruants aren't run by world renown chefs.  They're run by families who have spent generations perfecting their own art style and sauce.

It's less like how normal cuisine works and more how like... Japanese sword fighting dojos or something work.

One of these days I want to go down there during the World Championships.

That's some good ole Americana right there, up there with Baseball, apple pie, and chevrolet hahaha.

The continent that makes the best food is France!!! Oh wait...

A Frenchman WOULD say that......lol just kiddin haha

=D To be more serious, I mean the French Cuisine is something special. I like almost everything from it.

I'm not a real Frenchman, I'm born in Montenegro so from the beginning I have something to compare the French Cuisine with. I also went to Germany, Italy, Spain and England. Most of the things I ate there were good, so I can't really decide (a good point here is that it's all in Europe =D hence my vote for Europe).

Tbh as long as its delicious I'll gladly eat it. Soon I was thinking about trying Asian (and more precisely Japanese) food. I hope that I won't be disappointed.

You gotta come to America and try some old fashioned GOOD Bbq.  Best pizza ever.  And take a detour in Mexico for awesome stuff too.  Canada is kinda lame but U.S. and Mexico make up for it haha.

i like how america has an assortment from different countries i mean america has created few dishes that are unique i guess.

NY has some of the best BBQ in the US. Heck right here in Syracuse, we have the local Dinosaur BBQ which is famous for their ribs and pulled pork. Most people who come in for work (from out of state) typically ask me how to get down there so they can go over lunch. They actually opened one of their stores (now 4 I believe) in NYC, so you could even get some good BBQ there too. The Syracuse resturant featured in Man vs. Food this year

I love pizzas so I guess it'll be delicious, and I never liked Canada that much anyway =P.

And yeah I'm planning on having a trip in America, just waiting to finish my studies and having a decent amount of money and here I come! Till then I'll import some food from America that may kill me because it's not fresh anymore. =D

i am european and i love our food... i eat according to the Mediterranean diet and its great. but i voted for asia (despite the fact that i never did go to asia or like their food that much) because i have seen and read loots of food and culture articles about asia and they take food and their diet really serious; besides that, they are the worlds area with less percentage of obese people.

North America, and it only takes one dish to claim top spot.

The Philadelphia Cheesestake

I could list a host more of real American food that is great, but you can't beat a classic such as that

EDIT: before judging, trying a cheesesteak outside of the philly area is generally a bad idea unless it is home made from an expert like me

Then I have to ask, since there seems to be a divide on it in Philly from what I've heard: Cheez Whiz or provolone?

As for Dinosaur, well... I have a friend that always gets tons of their sauce whenever he goes back to visit people in Rochester, so...

Oh, as for my cuisine rankings... (some may be forgotten)

1)American style BBQ/Pizza... I get a feeling not many people outside of the US have had a taste of really good US BBQ.  It's up there with anything.  Good reason to put Memphis on a must visit list for foreigners wanting to get a good USA expiernce.

Kids in the US love summer because of summer break from school.

Adults love it because it's grilling season... and it's REALLY hard to get a good accurate grilling represented in a restraunt.

2) Mexican

3) Chinese

4) Ethopian

5) Indian

6) Japanese

7) Spanish

8) Hawaian

9) Italian

10) English

11) Polish

12) Thai

13) German

14) Korean

15) French

16) Vietnese

Really been meaning to try Brazillian and Armenian lately but haven't had the budget for it.  Should mention i'm not a seafood guy,

Lebanese deserves a spot... booooo

First I thought maybe Asia. Then I went with the Gault Millau. So Europe it is.

Thank you El Bulli for making it so easy.
