Just an update, I got all but one part. I have the case setup with all fans but the CPU cooler. Motherboard installed. Just need to wait for my SSD to arrive then I should be good.

Did you know that that setup is pin incompatible with the latest from Intel?

yes. I know it isnt compatible with LGA 1355 or 2011. But Intel does support older sockets for a few years but really I dont see me needing an upgrade for a while. Well maybe another GTX480... thats it.

Case looks horrible, but otherwise looks like a good build. Have fun and try Metro 2033 on very high settings.

GTX 580 is coming out in less than a week, I wonder if you can SLI with a GTX 480?

probably not as they wont be the same card and there is no way to unlock the other cuda cores on the GTX480. SLi needs balanced parings to work.

Just an update: the Corsair H70 is being RMA'd. Its way to massive. I would have had to remove one of two 20cm fans, so I'm switching to the Termaltake Frio which from reviews is an impressive piece of cooler.

fixed my ram issue, 8/8Gbs of ram working now.  =DD
