"You need to add the 2.2m from Q4 to get the number of units for this calendar year."

Yeah then title should say 8.1 million thus far not this year as the extra 2.1 million is from 2009. So far in 2010 and only in 2010 is 5.9 million :).

Extra 2.1M is from Jan 1st-March 31st if I am not mistaken. I think Sony's fiscal year starts in April.

Yep you write. Sony fiscal year starts from april hence it 5.9. But still those figures are units shipped not sold. There is a big difference between the two. Good to see it doing well as it allows for the competition for second place.
