GT5 will have a huge impact if it releases this holyday season, but will it?, shouldn't we know already?, when will they show ads for it?.

Gran Turismo 5 would sell 5 Million copies even if there was no system to play it on!

Yeah,  they made it for SDK 341 but SCE asked them to make it SDK 350 afterwards, so it introduced a delay of a couple of weeks, because they need a 3-week window to print x millions of copies.

I'm not doubting that.  I also think it will be the best and slickest racing simulator out there.  I just think that the sales will suffer if they don't give people a big enough window to buy the game in time for Xmas.

Yeah but this thread is about the console sales projection and not which games will sell the most. Just because something like Sly Collection won't sell 1-2M and probably only 500k lifetime doesn't mean it is unable to shift any consoles at all. This is why I think that omitting a bunch of exclusive titles just because they won't sell gangbusters in terms of software is the wrong way to go with making these kinds of lists.

If that is wrong I would appreciate someone explaining why, seeing as I am not an expert in all of this.

What does VGChartz see GT5 moving in terms of PS3 hardware for the holiday season? Is it really that big of a number? O_o

If GT5 were to release after March 31st, 2011, what would you expect the fiscal year shipments be in contrast to the 15M projection made by Sony?

Nothing is confirmed yet but Sony Australia had a GT5 competition going that was supposed to end Nov 4 (the original date) that is now ending Dec 9 (which falls on the same weekday as the previous date). I'm pretty sure it's coming this year.

GT5 will sell well, don't worry. People will get 2 Ps3's in order to play GT5, it will be that good!

Sony is also starting advertising for GT5 which stuff like Schick Razors (Started 1-2 days ago I believe) among others.

I think it is pretty much guaranteed for this year. They only bumped it back to avoid Kinect and CoD launches.

Then those people will need 4 jobs! O_o
