This is a pretty key question for Nintendo, but I don't think they'll have a good answer.

It's too soon for another transformative generation (would publishers even be able to survive another ride like this?). Opportunities like that just don't crop up every day, or even every 5 years. Next gen will be about refining motion controls and online functionality. Perhaps another Revolution will come around 2016.

agreed. earlyer this yr i said this gen should end in 2020, and i still fill that way mainly because of production value! chances are some of the smaller companies won't make it to the next gen with games still costing 40 to 100m bucks to make.
