I didn't realize she was Country music, I thought she was just a more folk version of Avril Lavigne.

I hadn't heard of her until Kanye West took the Mic away from her. I found it very strange that the media kept saying she was 15 years old when she was actually 20. Seemed like they were trying to make everyone feel sorry for the poor little young white girl.

As for the "Queen" of music, It's Lady Gaga without a doubt. It is interesting to see a new REAL pop icon emerge who can be compared with the likes of Blondie, Madonna, Nirvana, Bowie, and Tupac. Time will tell whether she can reach levels of the Beattles, Michael Jackson, and Elvis - the potential seems to be there. It's refreshing to have someone like her, new, in the world of music - a lot more than all the truly plastic characters (Rihanna, Beyonce, Linkin Park, Eminem, etc...).

Hopefully she doesn't just fizzle out and become the next Alanis or No Doubt.

I read Billboard is tracking 800,000 - 900,000 copies first week. When is the last time some one sold a million copies of a cd, in  the first week?

I'll tell you exactly what I told -Newcloud-. Swift's first album sold 5 million copies while her second album had already sold 5 million copies when the controversy happened. I don't see how he did anything honestly.

i still dont understand why they keep saying that, shes been pretty much super famous for the last couple of years, way before the Kanye incident.

Also, Taylor Swift will need to sell ten times the number of albums she sold overall to get close to Garth Brooks.
