I hate that name, but I have to applaud them for not jumping on the 3D bandwagon.

Luckily for you Batman Forever wasn't directed by Tim Burton, but by he-who-must-not-be-named (we Batman fans dare not speak his name... okay fine... Joel Shumacher. *shivers*)
And after seeing Inception, I believe Christopher Nolan to be master of the blockbuster. He makes movies that people want to see, and yet they're so much more than just popcorn flicks. Can't wait for this!

Yes people I'm hyping and jumping up and down over a title announcement... FOR CHRISTOPHER NOLAN'S NEXT MASTERPIECE!!!!!!!!!!!!
I am one of the biggest The Dark Knight fans out there! Have you ever see the same movie over 5 times in the Cinemas alone? Yeah I watched The Dark Knight at the cinemas on 6 different occassions.
This is the most exciting piece of news this week! What a great way to start the day!!

I think that title is pretty bad. Having 2 films in the series with Dark Knight seems redundant. I'm thinking there is some studio influence just to cash in on the sucess of The Dark Knight. I wanted a cooler title such as Gotham or even Batman Triumphant (which was supposed to be the title of the next film after Batman and Robin).
Oh and I'm glad there is no Riddler. The villain should be Harley Quinn!

TDK is 2 That is in the Christopher Nolan Timeline
Overall: Batman (Tim Burton) (1st) Batman Returns (2nd) Batman Forever (3rd (First in Michael Timeline)) Batman & Robin (4th (Second in Michael Timeline)) Batman Begins (5th (First in Nolan Timeline)) The Dark Knight (6th (Second in Nolan Timeline)) The Dark Knight Rises (Upcoming Batman 3) (7th (Third in Nolan's Timeline)) |
Negative. Tim Burton did the second Batman movie, not the first. The time-line starts decades earlier. No one remembers Adam West was the original Batman.
the name is meh... good to see no riddler. just seems like it would be similar to the joker....
and please, for the love of god, no Penguin....please...maybe the Red Hood, Clay Face, or even Killer Croc....
I think the most likely villian (with The Riddler out) would probably be Catwoman ... After The Dark Knight it is likely that they will need to introduce a strong female character to act as a romantic interest, and the most likely candidate is Catwoman.
I could be wrong though, I was kind of betting on The Riddler being the next main villian with Catwoman being a side villian, with the Riddler being portrayed as more of a terrorist of some sort (using his riddles to create mass panic in the city for some form of personal gain) but that doesn't appear to be the direction they're moving in.
With Tom Hardy cast as the unnamed villain I'm seriously hoping for The Mad Hatter, I believe he could really pull it off.
I could see them doing a two villain deal like in The Dark Knight maybe including Catwoman.

POW! BAM!
but seriously im disappointed in both the name and the lack of the riddler. i definitely still believe catwoman would be a natural fit as like someone said they now need a new female interest and i also feel having a lover on the wrong side of the law would be great since thats now the side batman is on (or at least is supposed to appear that way to the police)... also adam west is a better mayor than he was a batman. DA DA DA DA DA DA DA DA MAYOR!
