Forums - Sony - Alleged PSPhone leaked!

I'd probably ditch my iPhone for one of these.  I do like having buttons for my games.

"Naturally the common people don't want war: Neither in Russia, nor in England, nor for that matter in Germany. That is understood. But, after all, IT IS THE LEADERS of the country who determine the policy and it is always a simple matter to drag the people along, whether it is a democracy, or a fascist dictatorship, or a parliament, or a communist dictatorship. Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is TELL THEM THEY ARE BEING ATTACKED, and denounce the peacemakers for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. IT WORKS THE SAME IN ANY COUNTRY."  --Hermann Goering, leading Nazi party member, at the Nuremberg War Crime Trials

Sony really might build a $600 portable, since most high end smart phones are $600 and this seems to have similar specs to $600 phones.

Well, this probably isn't psp 2 from the info we have available. And smart phones are pretty cheap with data plans. Thats how they get you.

Yeah, that's the one thing keeping me from getting the latest phones. Paying $70 a month is just not worth it to me.

I agree. I need to see how this all plays out but I hope they make a real psp2 to go with the 3ds, but so far it seems like they are.

Time for hype

I would have really liked that 2-3 years ago. But seeing as it's unlikely to be the psp2, and that I've had a psp since launch, I'm not interested in having a psp capable phone some time into the psp2 launch.

But it makes me hopeful that the psp2 will see a phone edition at some point.

Yea.... I'll just wait for the PSP2... Not a bad design, but it's just the thought of it being the inferior product later on that I don't like. Hopefully there's a phone model of PSP2 at launch.

I am all in on this. I never touch my PSP anymore. I have to carry my phone and my wallet full time, year round. That makes no room for PSP in my life for about 8 months a year. I am not going to be hauling around pointless stuff when it is blazing hot.

So whether it plays PSP2 games or not 1 for Sony. I will hop on this as soon as possible, and wait it out again tell PSP2 compatible phones arrive to upgrade.

Stop hate, let others live the life they were given. Everyone has their problems, and no one should have to feel ashamed for the way they were born. Be proud of who you are, encourage others to be proud of themselves. Learn, research, absorb everything around you. Nothing is meaningless, a purpose is placed on everything no matter how you perceive it. Discover how to love, and share that love with everything that you encounter. Help make existence a beautiful thing.

KBG29 on PSN&XBL

Well... I did just get an XPERIA x10, and I still have another 18 months on my contract, so I am not sure what I am going to do here?

But there are some questions to be answered, is this the PSP (1) phone, and so will there be a PSP (2) phone round the corner. Is this actually a PSP phone as opposed to a PlayStation phone, but the most important one, will this be like the PSP go and prevent me from putting my existing library on it?

Basically, I think I am probably going to end up waiting until the end of next year for a proper PSP 2 phone; but of course there is one major issue to address, BATTERY!!!

People complained about lacking a second nub.

Now, they take the only nub away and "everyone" loves it.

It clearly says Sony Ericsson on the side of it.

"Sony has finally done it. They've mated a Sony Ericsson cell phone with a PSP, spawning this... the PlayStation Phone. Don't call it the PSP2, please. That's something else entirely."

So its not the PSP2.
