Forums - Microsoft - Why is there so much shit in the Microsoft forum?

Sometimes I actually wish the PS3 had been more successful because it might have resulted in better discussions in the Microsoft forum.  I seem the remember Xbox 1 discussions on the Internet in which you could actually talk about the system and its games without the constant trolling.

I'm not sure what can be done and maybe it's unreasonable to expect this forum to only have serious meaty thought provoking discussions but it would be nice to be able to have at least a few of them or even regular casual threads without it becoming a chore to sift through the garbage to follow them.

That is actually false. 

I am a JRPG gamer first and foremost. I go wherever the vast majority of JRPGs go. For a while I was a huge Xbox fan, but then they just seemed to give up on JRPGs.

If you track my VGChartz history back to the beginning you will see me mention the same exact thing.

Indeed. It's piracy who helped switch most blockbusters towards consoles.

 Piracy? I think laptop has more to do with that than piracy which been  from the beginning.

OP, I completely agree with you. It seems that everytime there is any sort of positive discussion about anything xbox out comes the anti-MS crowd.  If you talk about sales, and the xbox 360's lead, then you always hear "when launches are aligned blah blah blah."  If you talk about excellent console exclusives then you get "timed exclusives aren't a bonus/games on pc aren't console exclusive/microsoft doesnt make as many games as sony therefore microsoft exclusives suck." If you talk about xbox live and it's features all you get is " who cares about cross chat/ netflix will eventually be just as good on ps3/ what a waste of $50."  If you talk about features of the xbox itself, all you get is "but there is no blu-ray/ 33% failure rate what a POS blah blah." 

It gets very old and tiring to even attempt to chat with fellow xbox fans about the stuff we love about our system.  It's all good tho, I have so many extremely fantastic games to play that my time is better spent playing my system rather than trolling other people's posts about their console of choice -_-

Believe it or not those kinds of articles make PS3 fans look better since they aren't the ones making articles to trash talk fans of other consoles.

People who write articles like that lack something called "Class".

 

Not to say that all PS3 fans have class, but that article is a big stain on Jim Sterling's reputation.
