It seems to me a bit early to make a comparison since we don't know anything about PSP2 but rumors, however considering the rumors you posted I'm still much more interested in 3DS.

-Dual analog sticks-->Thi is interesting but if those are as small as the one on PSP I don't care it's unconfortable. Also considering the slide pad, the touch sceen, and the motion sensor, the 3DS has got already 3 diffent analog imput systems (the Steel Diver demo is a good example of the motion sensor capabilities)

-Big HD screen-->I'm not a graphic whore, even if it's not HD, the 3DS system is good enough for me in the visual department, btw 3DS>Gamecube comparing Snake Eater 3D to Twin Snakes and Res Revelations to Res4.                  Also when it works as it should in gaming 3D>HD imo I had the chance to try some games in 3D, to bee precise I've tried Dead Space, Resident Evil 5, the Avatar game, Burnout Black Box (on the other hand for movies HD>3D). 2nd If the screen is very big it also means that the console is very big, if it is an handled it has to be small imo (also DSi XL is useless imo)

-Backside touchpad--> I can't think of how can you use that in games, also as it is it sounds uncofortable,...try to make some precise movements with the middle finger while  thumbs are pressing front buttons, while also holding the console sound a bit complicated. However if I will like or not this rumored feature will depend on how it is integrated on the console.

-Smatphone Capabilities--> I don't see the point in having smatphone capabilities on a device that it's not a smartphone, expecially if it is much bigger (considering the sceen), the only smartphone-like capability I care of is web browsing and 3DS can already do that.

But still the thing I most care about are games, atm the 3DS lineup is impressive, I may reconsider all of this when I know what PSP2 has to offer.

I think the touch pad at the back must be a typo or misintepretation or something. Anyway, after I get my 3DS, I'll get a PSP slim and won't get PSP2 until late in its life cycle. I know that much without even knowing what it can do yet.

Ok now I got that thanks, seems like an alternative way to do dual-analog, it might be effective, to be honest I like more this idea of PSPhone, than the concept idea of a bigger HD handled.

Where is the both option?

Like many others, this is my real option. Most of the games I've been playing lately have been portables, and thus, I'm more likely to get both systems, assuming they have games I want, that is...

I'd most probably get both, doubly so if psp2 ends up being  phone

PSP2,  Simply cause i'm a Monster Hunter fan.

Hoping Capcom continues to release their MH series on the PSP :)

As I said, the current list will indicate, in general, what games we will get outside of japan. Based on that list, I don't see anything that makes me want to purchase the 3DS in the first year. 3D upgrades to old games is _not_ a killer app.

The DS only got good in the middle part of its life, when a plethora of RPG games started to come out, even if quite a few of them were themselves ports/remakes of old games.

I'm sorry if this bugs people. I am plainly not a core nintendo gamer, which means nintendo has to try harder to get me to buy its stuff these days. That's just the way it goes. I'm just being honest.

Yeah... With two Resident Evil games, MGS Nintendo stuff, Kingdom Hearts, Final Fantasy, Ridge Racer, you're totally right...

Has to try harder... sounded very vain, like if they didn't try to make something interesting...

Never liked resident evil. Nor MGS. The main series Kingdom Hearts is good, the portable sub-games are meh. Ridge Racer, meh. Main Final Fantasy is good (though its taking a dive), however, everything except the remakes (though FFIII on the DS suuuuuuuuucked), has been bad to horrible.

I am vain. I like what I like and don't like what I don't like. That's just the way things are, I can't change that unless I go full lobotomy.

Probably PSP2, assuming its reasonably priced and that it has larger screen(s).

I refuse to pay anymore than $230AUD for a 3DS and i doubt 3DS will get that low for a while. As for PSP2 ill probably pay up to $300 provided it launches with some good games.

I'll eat my hat, IF Monster Hunter will not be released on 3 DS in any form.
