Navigation Controller isn't necessary so that argument is weak.
As for the "Just about everything" answer. I must ask if Grimes even played a Move enabled game, because I own RE5: Gold Edition and it works perfectly fine with a dual shock and the Move, and that is the only game I know of right now, besides maybe MAG that needs analog input.
Also, if someone even thinks for a moment that a game like Heavy Rain requires a Nav as opposed to a Dualshock I will let them know that they are 100% wrong.
If anything MAG may be the only game really needs a Nav.
