Only games I have cheated on were Grand Theft Auto III through San Andreas because I didn't feel like buying guns. The 4th game actually got it right.

I don;t remember to be honest, but I think it was Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening on the good ole' Game Boy.

Ditto here. Also Adventure Island and Parasol Stars a couple of days later xD.

First one I beat without cheats, looking up the solutions, or any help from my brother was Paper Mario on N64--an achievement I was quite proud of considering it was my first RPG :)

I never used cheats, was to proud to do that. Only when the cheats did something cool like accessing all levels in Sonic games. But even then I only used the cheats to do something new with a game that I knew so well that it started to become boring.

The first game I beat was Super Mario Bros. on NES... or maybe I beat Mega Man before that, I don't remember anymore.

Probably Half-Life 2. I can't be sure though.

Same as the first game I ever played. At age 4 I collected all the yoshi coins in Super Mario World. I'll never forget that game!

i never use guides on games only if i am too lazy to search for the annoying "hidden collectables" that is not really fun to find and add nothing to the game.
