This. So many years later, I was told it was all a dream. I still have a hard time accepting it!

re: Shrek 2 and Kung Fu Panda

They are not bad (and Kung Fu Panda is so boring for me) but please don't compare them to Up or Wall-E. The weakest link of Pixar movies would be Cars I guess. I have to admit that How to Train Your Dragon is better than all three of them though.

MikeB predicts that the PS3 will sell about 140 million units by the end of 2016 and triple the amount of 360s in the long run.

I would go as far as saying that even the first Shrek is better than Wall-E and Up.

Well have you seen Shrek 2 and Kung Fu Panda? It should be easy to understand!

I have to agree with you on those 2 movies being better than Up, and Wall-e.

But that's mainly because I found those 2 to be some of Pixar's weaker films... Wall-e's brilliant the first half and not so brilliant the second half imo... and up was just... imo not as good as pixars other films.

And plus, Dreamworks made Antz. Which is probably my favorite CG film...

So they're all very good.

Yeah I mentionned Up and Wall-E because I also think they're Pixar's weakest titles (although I loved them still).

I don't know why people were disappointed with Cars. I found it amazing.

I forgot Antz. It was great.

You're just backwards!

Antz was pretty great, though. I watched it some 7 times.

You crazy man.

Shrek never gave me a reason to care about any of its characters.  They were all wacky comedy fairy tale characters, and all one-dimensional.  I got to watch WALL-E and the old guy from Up learn and change and grow, until they reached an understanding about the true meaning of love and friendship.  I know Shrek was supposed to learn the same stuff too, but I didn't care about the characters.  And "it's okay to be ugly" isn't as epic of a lesson as "letting go of the past," or "breaking out of your routine."  Pixar owns awesome morals for all ages.

Shrek is perhaps not as deep emotionally speaking as Wall-E or Up but it's twice smarter and ten times funnier. You don't need a good morale or an amazing cast of characters to make a good movie.

And the morales are actually what made Wall-E and Up the weakest Pixar movies. They simply tried too hard and it shows especially in Wall-E.

At first, I liked Studio Ghibli. But then I saw Grave of the Fireflies, and I fell in love.

I still prefer Disney, Pixar and Dreamworks but Studio Ghibli is definitely amongst the best.

That's why the idea of a video game coming from them in collaboration with Level 5 (one of the best studio out there) can only get my hyped.

Better than Ghibli?

We don't appreciate yer kind roun' here.

Shrek 2 and Kung Fu Panda are AMAZING and they're better than some Pixar movies like Up and Wall-E.

And I've heard that How to Train Your Dragon is pretty awesome as well.

There's no reason to dislike such a talented and dedicated company.

Then you need to see them again!

I'm not saying they're bad movies, but better than the mentioned movies...I have a different opinion.

Rockstar: Announce Bully 2 already and make gamers proud!

Kojima: Come out with Project S already!

Their work.  With Pixar they deliver the best artistic material, blending great visuals with real depth of story.

Shrek, Kung Fu, etc. are fun in their way, but most Dreamworks animation if terribly fluffy and light, and in the case of films like Kung Fu Panda I'd argue actually stuffed with awful "just want it and you'll get it" or "the magic is in you" messages which I simply abhor in material for children, mainly because it's simply wrong and doesn't remotely relfect the real world.

Try to be reasonable... its easier than you think...

Shrek was never meant to be aimed at children to begin with anyway.
