I thought Nintendo paid Sakagushi to do a game exclusive for the Wii, but it is just a Mistwalker IP exclusive for the Wii.

Nintendo owns The Last Story and ASH too. Also, Microsoft owns Lost Odyssey, but Blue Dragon's rights are actually split between several companies (Microsoft, Mistwalker, Bird Studio).

@jarrod, on back of the blue dragon box it says that blue dragon is a m$ owned ip and says nothing of anyone else.

last story looks like a game that will be very good, cant wait. :)

OK, I've already been answered. So we may see this getting good sequels(like Golden SUn & Fire Emblem) and not milked(like |Pokemon) and these guys may show up in Smash Bros!
