Forums - Sony - According to LoveFilm, White Knight Chronicals is heading my way.

So after defending this game blinding when it first came out (by claiming that it can't be as bad as the doomsayers were saying) Now I get to experience it first hand.

So couple of questions.

1: How big an update am I looking at?

2: How long is the single player?

3: Compared to FF13 and RoF, how much variety in the game are we looking at here?

PS One/2/p/3slim/Vita owner. I survived the Apocalyps3/Collaps3 and all I got was this lousy signature.

1.) I don't know what your asking.

2.) Single Player depends on your skill I guess. The average player can beat this game in less than 30 hours. It is not a long game and it is MIND-NUMBINGLY easy so do not ever expect a challenge from anything. I would not be suprised if you can run through the game in under 10 hours if you run from A to B.

3.) Honestly I would say that variety comes in this order:

XIII > WKC > RoF. However in terms of my liking of the games I would rate it like this: XIII > RoF > WKC.

You'd be happy to hear that they also do "special" ;) movies as well as the more "normal" kind and games.

by update I mean what version of the game are we currently on patches wise, e/g Uncharted 2 is currently on version 1.09

by variety I mean e.g ff13, it's battle>>>>run>>>battle>>>run>>>battle>>>>cutscene- repeat.

Does WKC offer something different as in sidequests that don't involve fighting.

There are lots of sidequests online but you need to grind over and over to unlock new ones. By grind I mean repeating this one mission over and over. However the sidequest structure is mainly the same. Go find a monster/item and possibly have to solve a puzzle while doing it. The online is pretty good.

Honestly though I don't remember a single offline sidequest.

You have to install the game and there is a small patch I think its on version 1.03 or something...I never played ROF but I played about 15 hours of XIII and I couldn't stand the game, I know a lot of people like it but it wasn't something I could get into the combat was fun for a lil while then died down. I haven't played enough of WKC to form a decent opinion but I like it so far.

White Knight Chronicles is Battle>run>town>cutscene>run>town>cutscene.  If you want you can go around and do side quests, build your village, and do other things.  Though I never did any of that village building and such, I've only completed the main game.
