So after defending this game blinding when it first came out (by claiming that it can't be as bad as the doomsayers were saying) Now I get to experience it first hand.

So couple of questions.

1: How big an update am I looking at?

2: How long is the single player?

3: Compared to FF13 and RoF, how much variety in the game are we looking at here?

1.) I don't know what your asking.

2.) Single Player depends on your skill I guess. The average player can beat this game in less than 30 hours. It is not a long game and it is MIND-NUMBINGLY easy so do not ever expect a challenge from anything. I would not be suprised if you can run through the game in under 10 hours if you run from A to B.

3.) Honestly I would say that variety comes in this order:

XIII > WKC > RoF. However in terms of my liking of the games I would rate it like this: XIII > RoF > WKC.

by update I mean what version of the game are we currently on patches wise, e/g Uncharted 2 is currently on version 1.09

by variety I mean e.g ff13, it's battle>>>>run>>>battle>>>run>>>battle>>>>cutscene- repeat.

Does WKC offer something different as in sidequests that don't involve fighting.

White Knight Chronicles is Battle>run>town>cutscene>run>town>cutscene.  If you want you can go around and do side quests, build your village, and do other things.  Though I never did any of that village building and such, I've only completed the main game.
