With DK coming up and a strong line-up of games, I think Nintendo should beat the other consoles but that gonna be tuff. They should cut the price or make a special wii bundle with Mario...

Microsoft is gonna position Kinect as the hot thing this holiday. It'll be on primetime news and everything. This has a chance to be a game changer if Microsoft do it right and we all know how good they are at hype.
It'll be 360 > Wii almost certainly but I'm not sure about the PS3. If it can hold out until GT5 then maybe... they'll be close I think.

Wii will easily outsell the PS3 this holiday. 360... not so sure. Maybe, maybe not.

| FF_Fanatic said: well if it gets another price cut that will bring it to a very low price, and no more price cuts will be available for wii, i think this would be a mistake as it will boost wii but only for a year, after which it will die out much quicker than what ps2 did. the problem is newer technology is out for people to get now and i think move has proven it has already started to break wii, wii is at the lowest it ever has been, even software sales for wii party should have been around the normal 200k range, but instead it did nowhere near that amount, the fact wii sales and software sales are at their lowest is a sign that wii is no longer the thing to get for this year. when kinect comes out it will deal even more damage... maybe ninty should make a wii slim console |
Wii Party sales will pick up once we hit the November period. It'll be like Just Dance where the first few weeks were very low sales and then it picks up and just sprints off into the distance. Though I will say I was surprised by how low the sales were for week one US/EU
Bah!

Actually, it's already picking up in UK, and other parts of Europe!

With or without price cut it will outsell both HD systems
I know it's the Wii's strongest season and everything but, I'll go against logic and the grain and say that the Wii will not outsell either of the HD consoles any week this holiday.
It will sell better during that time than it is now (duh) but so will all consoles. I do think:
1. Wii will receive more of a boost than holiday (in terms of raw numbers) than the 360 or PS3 over the current levels of sales.
2. Wii will receive boosted sales because of DKC:R, Kirby...uhh...Just Dance 2?
3. 360 will receive a boost from Kinect and Kinect will help elevate its holiday sales in general over last year.
4. PS3 will get a boost from GT5 and GT5/Move will elevate its holiday sales over last year.
5. The combined elevations of Kinect and Move will mean that the Wii's holiday increase will only be slightly larger than PS3 or 360's holiday increase and thus the Wii will remain lower than each console (because it is lower than both of them now)

I think the GT5 lift will now be dampened somewhat due to its delay. If it launches in early December it'll really only provide a boost for those few weeks, as to a month and a half had it launched in November. Still don't have a firm release date either, so that's not good...
Bah!
