Wii Party flopped in America too. B-But Mario Party 8's first week was only... 230k there? Sales aren't good any way you spin it.

Bah. PS3 could have really used GT5 to combat Kinect early November. But it should be able to stay above the Wii with MOH, Fallout, Black Ops and Assassin's Creed imminent.

@MUGEN  I was thinking the same thing!! did anyone buy NBA JAM???  Some of you get some sick enjoyment out of Wii's misfortune.  Im shocked that Wii party has not done better.  I dont think Kirby or DK is gonna help, but I'll tell you who will Micheal freaking Jackson. Im 99% sure it will be Wii's biggest hit this holiday

Disappointing Castlevania sales..., it definitely deserves more than that.

Pretty horrible numbers all around. Whole market is way way down. X360 barely up yoy, PS3, DS, PSP and Wii way down. These numbers are horrible even compared to same week during 2007. Fortunately we get next year 3DS and PSP2 which should ensure that industry will be growing next year again. 2008 is still the best year gaming market has seen.

I want to pic it up but going to do so later, I'm broke. I think it should have legs.

Some of you people need to seriously see what the Gamecube and Xbox did last gen weekly

Not to mention how when Gamecube And Xbox uset to get most NPD's between 180K - 230K was seen as "very good"

The console market is doing brilliantly compared to the past

people forget 1 year ago PS3 had a price cut and got slim and Wii had a price cut too

hence the massive YOY decline for consoles.

Any fan of God of War games would be remiss not to pick up Castlevania.  The game gets better and better as you progress.  I know I'm probably in the minority but I think Castlevania (outside of the platforming gameplay mechanics) is a better game then God of War III.  Not better then GoW I and II though (They were trend setters in their time).

Also, Enslaved is a great game as well.

If gamers want hard core games to continue we'd better start supporting the good ones by buying them.  Enslaved and Castlevania are both better than Medal of Honor...  By miles...  Medal of Honor is more a CoD knock off then Castlevania can be considered a GoW knock-off.  And Enslaved is nothing new but different...  A fresh look at a previously stale genre.

HD Sales -

FIFA 11 Sales are also awesome on the HD consoles. Nice to see the PS2 can still push a game better than the Wii can too!

Halo Reach is selling amazingly. Let's hope it can reach 10 Million before all is said and done!

Red Dead Redemption should pass 7 Million in this Holiday season!

Wii Party only opened to ~75k in the West. And didn't really push hardware like many expected it to. Will be interesting to see if it's an evergreen or just another Wii Music...

Castlevania opened to 140k combined. Word of mouth and it will be a Million seller before the year is over, hopefully

New Super Mario Bros. and Mario Kart DS are still in the top 50... 230/256 Weeks after release. Those 2 games define the word "legs".

And both Gran Turismo 5 Prologue and Metal Gear Solid 4 should be 5 Million sellers after these Holidays!!!
