Tell me something I don't know, I knew about this ages ago.  WHy is it strange, it's like it's strange that a mobile phone comes with a rechargable battery.  It isn't much more expensive than it is over here, £61.00, and it's £49.99 here by the way.  $1.00 NZD is  $0.76 USA.

?

A mobile phone needs a battery to work, you don't need a classic controller to play Goldeneye.

But still it isn't strange to have a gold classic controller bundled with this game, ok try this, let's say it's strange to have a wii bundle with NSMBWii, it's not really necesssary to have that game to play.  ( but in my opinion it is :P).

It is kind of strange.  It's reminiscent of when when Star Trek decided to go back into the past with their show Enterprise.  It somehow made me miss Voyager and Quantum Leap at the same time which I would've thought was impossible.

It is pretty odd with the Wiimote being the "superior" option for FPSs and what not, but I guess Activision disagrees.

I don't think it is particularly strange myself, just your analogies don't work very well.

There is the aversion many seem to have to using pointer controls in FPS and I believe this is pandering to those people... just to make people realise there is an option so they can't be stubborn due to assuming motion controls are all terrible, or in some cases where people have a genuine dislike, or perhaps even simple pointer controls are not practical (depending on their gaming setup this could be possible).

I will be interested to see what happens regarding online options tbh, Goldeneye and Black Ops do seem to be going for the (finally on the Wii) "how many options can we fit in" route so I would think people will have the choice to play against others using the same controls method only, as well as being able to have both types against each other.
I would think however unless there is some kind of handicapping that, like the Wheel in Mario Kart, those using dual analogue will be outclassed by those of us with pointer controls.

Lol yeah, I was wondering if anyone else would mention that.

so the superior control method comes free, and one has to pay extra for what is most likely the inferior version?

What a cocked up world

Thats the reason why I made this thread. Anyway, the whole bounding box thing is likely the reason why they do so many rail shooters on the Wii. I.E. Its good to aim within the radius of what is displayed on the TV but turning can be problematic for some people.

Tease.
