Thats what happens when you put "castlevania" on the box of a game...but not in the actual game.

i'll only quote your post but this is for everyone who's calling doom on castlevania and enslaved for those numbers.

the games came out on the 8th and those numbers are from the week ending on the 9th, right? IT'S ONE DAY SALES, it will look better next week!!!!

i already posted this but seems like everyone is ignoring that. not everyone buys on day one.

While you may be true...I still hope it fails miserably. :)

Its funny how a slot machine commercial captires the essence of castlevania better than a full blown videogame these days...

Why would you want the best Castlevania in ages to fail miserably?

Cause it isn't castlevania?

If the game came out as "Lords of Shadow" like it was originally intended, with no ties to Castlevania universe, I wouldn't be hoping it fails...

Oh my god, I genereally feel sorry for Castlevania and Enslaved... they're both great games (Not played Castlevania but I'm buying it next week, and I've heard nothing but good things from people that've played it), yet their debut sales are TERRIBLE, atleast in EU anyway, I hope US can atleast up the numbers considerably... seems the advertising for both of these hasn't worked too well here... I was actually expecting over 500k sales for the new Castlevania first week (Including US/JP), and ATLEAST 300k for Enslaved... ouch.

Well if you're waiting for JP sales of Castlevania, then you're going to have to wait awhile as it won't be released until December 16th in Japan. (360/PS3)

I'm not sure why they're taking so long with the JP version of the game...I was thinking about picking up the game, so I have to wait until Dec. (as I'm in Japan :-/ )

Me since the games were revealed, the fanboys since E3."

Isn't this also the case for Wii Party though?

probably, i dont know when that one came out. especially since it's a casual game and casuals dont line up first day to buy games they dont know release date, they just see the games on stores or catalogues

I believe it was the 8th as well. Around about 99% of games in the UK come out on a Friday, I can't actaully think of any except COD and HALO which don't...

Here lies the dearly departed Nintendomination Thread.

I think people are still making the mistake with Wii Play that they have made with damned near every other major game for the Wii. They expect large sales week one when that isn't how most of them have sold at all.

I personally still expect this title to sell extremely well as I expect it to have a large holiday boost and to sell at a fairly high stable amount for a long time.
