According to a post over on Xbox Germany’s Facebook page, the friend limit on Xbox Live has been upgraded, allowing folks to have more than 100 folks on their friend’s list.

 

The new limit is set at 1,000 so lucky you if you have that many.

Aaron Greenberg said a while back Microsoft was looking into allowing folks to have more friends, so it looks like that’s now the case.

Likely this new feature will be implemented with the new dashboard update on November 4, but since we’re not 100 percent positive on that, we’ll mail Microsoft. Especially since we don’t speak German and the option may already be available.

Jesus, I can only imagine the nightmare if trying to scroll to a friend that starts with a Z in 1000 long list.  How would you even remember who all those people are?

Well I know all of my facebook friends in real life and I have about 500, so if all those people had Xbox Live I could see this being useful... I'd still only be halfway to the limit though.  Maybe they will implement and Sort by Letter option rather than just Ascending, Descending, Online Status, and Game.

Personally, I never had a problem with 100 friends limit.  When I reached it I would look through and clear out a bunch of people who hadn't been on LIVE in months or that I had added randomly during CoD nights

I'd be much happier if I could just make notes on people in my friends list or even change their display name, that would be awesome.

imagine the constant messages telling you someone logged in. It would drive me nuts.

I imagine they are gonna makes the friends list easier and faster to search through.
