Is this a kinect game?  Looks good.

Due to the expiry of Sega's Ferrari deal, the arcade racer is now available solely on Xbox Live Arcade, where it will remain until December, 2011, Sega's told CVG.

We can only imagine this has something to do with the appearance of Ferrari the Race Experience on PSN. System 3 clearly owns the rights, after all.

Sad news for PS3 owners. We highly recommend Xbox 360 types pick up Outrun before it disappears.

Wait, are you suggesting the Outrun game that's currently in the psn store will soon disappear or am I misunderstanding you?

Why does Sega even use the Ferrari license?

Is that really a selling point? Its not even a racing sim.

I bought this on xbox live...great game.

But this just seems odd. If I bought it on PS3, will it dissapear from my library?

I don't think they can take it back once you've bought it, they'll probably just stop selling it to new customers now.

It was on the PSN, now its been taken off, thus making the only place you can buy it is Xbox Livre.

So its removed from the PSN Store now and will be removed from XBL later? why did system 3 (whoever that is) do this?

Basically Sega only had the Ferrari rights for a set period of time and have no plans on making any further Outrun games without the rights. They probably have to pay Ferrari so much each year to re-produce via digital download (though one would think it would be a % per sale) and probably no one is buying the title - thus It's not worth keeping up on the market place. They could probably sell more copies on the 360 with a 50% off sale, but at this rate they will probably sell 1k or so copies (if they are lucky) before it gets pulled.

that means, i am going to get it before it gets pulled!

PS: have anyone heard the XBL deal the buy with 2400 points and get 800 for free? , think i'm going to use it here.
