Forums - Gaming - October 2010 RPG month?

I am not really hyped about none of those at the moment, though I eventually might try them out and I hope them to prove me I was wrong for underestimating them.

Two Worlds II was meant to release this month too, but got delayed... that game alone would have made it RPG month, I mean, let's be honest, the first was craptacular, it was horrible and didn't really do ANYTHING right, but the second... it just looks amazing, the graphics seem top notch, you can SAIL! (Windwaker anyone?!), there's a ton of variety in the environments, comabt looks better, it's got a nice steady framerate, and just looks so good to be honest.

I just looked at two worlds 2 and it looks great. but if it was released this month it would have gotten overlooked.

meh, it is but 2011 is the rpg year.

2011 rpg line up> 2009 rpg line up> 2010 rpg line up.

Being in 3rd place never felt so good

I believe Borderlands GOTY edition is being release this month if im not mistaken.  I'll definitely be picking that up for sure.

Yeah that's true, Fallout: New Vegas and Fable 3 would have overshadowed it... and what else is bad, is that people are still assuming it'll be terrible like the first, so they'll avoid buying it, when, in reality, it's looking to be an amazing game and I can't wait to get my hands on it...

... It actually reminds me of Lost Planet 2, and Kayne And Lynch 2, they're both great games, but nobody bothered to buy them because their first installment was pretty bad, even though I liked both anyway...

Exactly  I hate when sequals of a game that wasnt so good dont even get looked at. Though i can see why they might not want to its still crazy lol.

I will say it's RPG month. Even though I'm not really interested in any of the games except for New Vegas which I probably won't buy anyways.

Let's include September 30 in there as well because of the launch of FF XIV.

Fallout New Vegas alone makes October RPG month! It's a strong contender for GOTY along with GT5, Mass Effect 2, Halo Reach, Red Dead Redemption and God of War 3.

as long it isn't cod or halo i dont care who wins but there is a tonne of games comming out this month than just RPG's

like sports games.

Yeah I really don't want CoD to win either, even though I'll be buying Black Ops. The last thing Bobby Kotick's ego needs is a boost like that of winning GOTY.

And Arcania on PC and Xbox 360 will be out in this October too.

I want to pick up dragon age collection. I dont have a dedicated pc right now so should i pick it up for 360 or ps3? Do you guys think fallout new vegas will affect fable 3 sales?
