I wonder how many times the world has ended already, going by these "trustworthy" predictions.

If you make a thousand bets, you're bound to get some right, especially if you have any knowledge about how things really work and all those bets are educated guesses instead of uneducated ones.

If anyone knew in advance, for certain, that the economic collapse was going to happen on X day and fold out in a certain way, they could have made billions out of it. There are ways with financial instruments to make money out of decreasing prices (see short selling).

The fact that the predictor didn't do this shows that they were either guessing or not confident enough to put money behind their prediction.

If you're serious then I would just like to say:

Idiots like you are the MAIN reason so many people are turning towards atheism. Intelligent people see you and think: ''OMG, I never, ever want to be associated to anything that guy is associated to.''

I hope this is a joke, otherwise: YOU ARE HOPELESS.

Actually, I believe Atheism is on the decline.  I don't understand the need of some people to attack Christians for their beliefs.  I mean if it comes to other lifestyles not associated with religion, you would usually say, "To each his own."  But the second someone makes a thread on some site about their beliefs, you have to come in droves to attack them.  Forget an intelligent discussion.  Forget "To each his own."  Pretty hypocritical if you ask me.

And to those who said something about him shoving his beliefs down your throat, who made you come in this thread, read what he posted, and then post a response?  YOU did.

#1 Atheism isn't on the decline, quite the opposite actually.

#2 Lots of people here were having an intelligent discussion. Actually it's quite a paradox that you want both "intelligent discussion" and "to each his own", as the latter implies that the former has no purpose.

#3 The purpose of this thread is debate, and people are going to challenge his beleifs (and in this case his beleifs are so silly that it may seem like people are attacking him). And in case you haven't read Oosnaps previous posts in other threads, he himself stated that he was gonna start threads in order to proove that his beleifs are true, hence inviting others to weigh his "evidence" and give him their input (otherwise, why did he make this thread in the first place?).

Why would you say that atheism is on the decline? There is little evidence for this. Atheists in America outnumber religious Jews for god's sake.

Are you honestly going to defend the propogana this thread is positing?

Also, the "to each his own" proposal is a wishy-washy one. How will we ever be able to progress as human beings without saying what we think? You would dare to ask me to censor my beliefs to "respect" yours? Pretty arrogant if you ask me.

In discussions of religion, just as in any other discussion, you make your points, state your reasoning and don't go out of your way to use derogatory language. This thread, however, is based on a statement that has no logical foundation and deserves little to no respect.

I say Atheism is declining because while there are more Atheists than before, the percentage of those who are Atheist is smaller.   http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Demographics_of_atheism#Geographic_distribution

And "to each his own" is definitely not wishy-washy.  No one should have beliefs shoved down their throats, nor should they be open to insults for stating their beliefs.  Do I fully believe what this guy posted?  No.  But I'm not going to sit here in throw insults at the guy because I don't.  Just like I don't believe in Atheism, but I'm not going to go out of my way to go in every Atheist thread and call them idiots for not believing in God because I somehow feel I'm superior to them intellectually.  That is what is truly arrogant.

I think that statement pretty much disproves itself. If there are MORE atheists, how can atheism be in-decline? That actually shows they are increasing. They are only decreasing relative to religious populations.

While I am 100% christian, and this guy may have got this right, I believe he may be over reacting. I watched more of those videos and, while God may be using these people and events for the New World Order ,as they call it, he portrays Obama as evil and deceptive, which irks me. I am by no means a democrat but I am still irked by this matter. I do not think Obama is evil although I do not think he is a true christian.

Well any belief/religion is going to increase its numbers solely based on population growth.  But for truth growth, you would have to have the percentage among the world's population growing as well, which isn't the case.
