Awesome sales!!

Cant wait for VGC numbers , Ps3 and 360 versions may be up 1M oO

My guess...

PS3: ~1.2M
360: ~900k

Others versions combined: over 500k

I think you give the other versions too much credit.

Also I strongly believe these 2.6m units are shipped.

So more like:

PS3 - 1.3m
360 - 950k
Others - 350k

(still shipped of course)

EA Sports should just stick to the FIFA, Madden and Tiger Woods franchises, they bring in so much revenue every year that it getting ridiculous. Cut off NHL and NBA Elite and try and make a really good tennis game. It doesn't seem like SEGA are gonna make a Virtua Tennis 3, EA should at least try.

We wouldn't have an NHL game this year if EA didn't make one, and their NHL games are always well received.

NHL 10 sold decently and NHL 11 sold kinda meh, I just thought that EA sports should concentrate on their larger franchises and then try and create new ones (like a really good Tennis game). Whatever floats your boat though, I'm not really fussed either way, it was just a throw away comment.

Bet with Conegamer and AussieGecko that the PS3 will have more exclusives in 2011 than the Wii or 360... or something.

Well, I don't really care either, but I'm sure someone out there would be mad that there wasn't an NHL game this year. I tried the demo, but the controls are too wonky for my tastes.

themanwithnoname's law: As an America's sales or NPD thread grows longer, the probabilty of the comment "America = World" [sarcasticly] being made approaches 1.

Holy Shit, when did this happen!? SEGA keeps tricking me into thinking they're stupid and then BAM! I'm chucking my money at them. It's stupid that it's exclusive though, I want it to get as much sales as it can so SEGA can support it the future.

Yeah and I hope it works well with Move, could be interesting

I don't like it, the constant camera changes when playing with Move makes me sick.

Furthermore it looks exactly like Virtua Tennis 2009 and Virtua Tennis 3 which were basically already the same game.

booooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!

if the game was 40 $ i would buy it!! oh oh i can trade :)

Being in 3rd place never felt so good

Yeah, I'm really looking forward to this, and impressions of it have been positive

PES 2011 is a better game in my openion. FIFA 11 is same as FiFA 10 with little changes. PES is more fun and gives the aaaahhhh and ewwwwwwwww which FIFA will never do.

so desperate, so untrue

Oh behave yourself; you don't have to agree that PES is the better game but you can't deny that FIFA11 is practically the same as FIFA 10 with minor changes, which isn't necessarily a bad thing. Personally, I've always been a bigger fan of Pro Evo and PES 2011 looks to finally be the game loyal fans have been waiting for.

Anyway, fantastic sales for EA; Fifa is one of the few sports games they produce that actually delivers a decent experience. Will be interesting to see how PES performs this year in comparison; obviously it won't sell as well but early reviews have been very positive.

NHL 11 is ahead of 10 with first three week sales despite that 11 is majorly undertracked in Europe as PS3 version sold 23k in Finland alone during its first week and also topped charts in Sweden and Switzerland. It also visited in top 5 of Germany charts. As NHL 10 sold over million units on HD consoles combined it must have made profit. I really don't see reason to drop the franchise.

that's the proof. You haven't played FIFA 11, because the gameplay changes this year are MASSIVE.

Biggest update of a football game I've ever experienced.

No I definitely have played the game, and I thoroughly disagree that there are massive changes. The game plays pretty much the same as FIFA 10 with subtle differences, and a fair amount of reviews have commented on how the changes made this year are subtle, not massive.
