Forums - Nintendo - Old Nintendo Ad: Kicking ass and taking names since 1992!

In another thread, disolitude reminded me of this old Nintendo Ad from around 1992.  If you guys can, read the text.  After years of "Genesis does what Nintendon't", Nintendo decided to fight back by tearing Sega a new asshole!!  Enjoy this rare glimpse at "Badass Nintendo":

They sound a lot like Sony in those days.  Maybe Sony took their attitude when they left to make the PS1?

Ouch! I remember one of my friends arguing about the speed of the Genesis by saying Sonic moved quicker than Mario on screen.

Good times! Good times!

Signature goes here!

The difference is that Nintendo's arrogance actually was justified by their 1st place in the era.

It's not like Sony that has the worst selling console this gen and keeps bragging about it and how they are superior.

Either they got even more arrogant since they said this sort of things and were in 1st place with the Ps1 and Ps2, or their standards for "superior" are very low.

Btw, that's a effing ass boring "ad" if you ask me.

I guess you had to be there during that era.  I used to masturbate to that ad every night.  I guess it's one of those "eye of the beholder" deals, eh?  I think it was purposely done to make it look like an article in the magazine instead of an ad, though.

Ouch!

I LOVE ICELAND!
