Forums - Nintendo - Japan saved: Taiko Wii 3 leaked!

lol.

From Wii's last Taiko Drum Master game. Yes, that's Slime from Dragon Quest.

Taiko Drum Master has apparently become an annual thing on Wii. So too has a new entry in the series leaking out through a retailer.

HMV Online is the offender this year. The site posted a listing for Taiko no Tatsujin Wii Minna de Party 3-dai-me. If I were the guy who had to translate these games into English, I'd probably write this as "Taiko Drum Master Wii Everyone's Party 3rd" ... or something to that effect.

The HMV listing has the game marked for December 2 release at ¥5,040. That's presumably for the software-only version. Namco Bandai usually releases a taiko drum bundle priced a couple thousand yen more.

These Taiko Drum Master bentos make for a hearty snack when lining up for games.

So what's next on the "no shit it should come to Wii" Japanese 3rd party pile?  Monster Hunter 3G, Momotaru Denetsu 2011, Dragon Quest VII or Sengoku Musou 3 Empires?

Monster hunter should since it did well enough. I mean if anything capcom should know that they've ahd their success on the wii. DQ7 would be awesome, monotarou looks likely, but i'd say noooo way for sengoku :/

What would you say about Dragon Quest VIII? I always believed that game - before Dragon Quest X is released of course - would have a higher chance of landing on the Wii than Dragon Quest VII. Do you think Dragon Quest VII is the more logical route Square-Enix could go for, or maybe they'll save that game for the 3DS? Perhaps both have a chance of hitting the Wii sometime... though that is probably pushing it.

How technical is your game?

I lean toward DQVII, because I think it's more likely to be a full remake than just a port.  I could see Genius Sonority doing it too, considering it was their last DQ game before Level-5 took over.

I also think we'll see DQI-VI on the Virtual Console.
