hate to double post like this but something went horrifically wrong after the map save yesterday the map i loaded on the widows seven server was missing all kinds of parts.... though maybe its been misssing all alog i had not rendered since the map change ....

well seems it been this was since the map modification.... so i will work on restoring them this week, since I had a major area out in the flats and i think joe did as well. seems we lost about 30% of our map area but gained file size hmmmmm.

back to the current map for when we switched servers today so nothing missing form sat

server is down for editing

okay the server is back up, but will be down again for just a bit tomorrow morning, when i combine the sections of the old map and the new map.

also new servers to help with the stress testing of our new server

on :25563 a completly new world nobody has tuched nothin .... all admin rights are the same

on :25564 sand world/ the world that was the second server when it was running on out old server has not been up since febuary, and is a alpha map.. if no one uses it it will be shut down

on :25565 our home map but you dont have to add the port, minecraft will know what you want... mods incoming after map patch

on :25566 my single player im going to be building on the server with it form now on... port number subject to chnage without notice

on  :25567  my sigle player but a place to blow shit up for fun ... this server will be shut down in not too long so come ask for admin on it and go crazy all admin requests will be granted

on  :25568  Joes old server, the first server i played on and where i learned mine craft, jeremy and joe built some badass shit on this one

each server has 3 gig of ram dedicated. we need people on to test this out, under current load with the servers at idle there is really no cpu useage though ram is at 35% mincraft has access to 12 of the 16 gb in my system under our current set up

My next few weeks' worth of projects:

-Finish repairing my one castle's floor
-Finish the Temple of Time (I've been playing OoT3D and the Temple is far more accessable for viewing from this game, so I can much more easily figure out the proper dimensions
-Build two more castles in Castlelands - one will be in front of the old Stargate view tower, the other atop the hills west of the old city location
-link all six castles via a two-way subway line (three imported castles, one pre-existing Ice Castle, two new castles)
-repair any remaining funky appearances left over from the castle importing

It's going to be fun.

edit also to help stress test, prime95 will be running tonight, if you see server latency advise here, ill be looking over the logs as well, i do not expect any

edit well crap seems the windows 7 pc picked up a new IP and did not notice it before i left, i cannot seem to reach it through RPC, or minecraft, so it either crashed or we are playing router games.

windows seven also blocks my router form seeing attached devices so its all kinds of fun right now... will update asap

damn still cant reach it, i think it crashed.... well ill try and get it rebooted durring lunch.

all servers but the main server are back up. it will be up as soon as the map patching planned for this morning is done

so the map edit is taking a hell of a lot longer to add the new section back in, MCedit seems to be limited in how much cpu usage it can use, as soon as it finnishes ill post the map (or if it crashes ill post it).

25563,25564,25566,25567,25568 are all up and running

Was anybody's creations missing in that? Because I wouldn't even worry about it.

Yeah, none of the servers are working for me either.

bad news and worse news..... a windows 7 rebooted on its own due to updates despite me disabling it. this has corrupted all current server maps that were open.

good news is i have back ups of all the maps, but i'm not sure if the main map back up was not corrupted as well, as it was being modified by MCmap...

im looking over them all now, trying to get stuff up very sorry .....

edit to qualify, if both are hosed we would be falling back to sundays save.

no big deal. nobody's done any *major* work this week, I believe.
